The Warrior Workshops

If there's one thing I've noticed during my training as an energy healer, it's that most of us (myself included) often fear accessing our own inner power and bringing out our truest gifts to be expressed and manifested in the world. While I may not be a full-time sacred warrior, it's something I'd like to learn with those who are also overcoming old hang-ups and patterns to help transform themselves and the world around us. And to be honest, with the current crises facing the planet, it's time we all step up to the plate.
So, in collaboration with Jivamukti Yoga School in NYC, I'm kick-starting a series of "Sacred Warrior Trainings" utilizing exercises I've been developing over the last few years to help participants access and understand their own divine, loving power and how that can be creatively expressed in the universe. This will be an unfolding process, without expectation, for a community to learn and grow together. For those interested, details are below:
=====Sunday, March 1=====
Sacred Warrior Training with Jonathan Phillips
A sacred warrior is one who walks in harmony with the divine force of the universe, leading from the heart on our journey to remember universal oneness. This workshop will teach you how to sense and work with the body's electromagnetic fields (aura) and manifest more confidence, health, love, and abundance in your life. We will incorporate the wisdom of yoga, Reiki, shamanism, and the ancient Gnostics to access our own divine energy as we become conscious creators, bringing about personal and spiritual transformation in our world. Exercises include polarity work, kundalini meditations, chanting, and interactive heart openings. We will also journey into the shadow self, acknowledging its lessons for overcoming our own fears, then take that knowledge to let in our own divine power and grace. This workshop is ideal for people who are feeling held back or want an added boost toward reaching the next step in their lives.

Great Questions
Admittedly, the title for this workshop was intended to be bold as I feel we are constantly denying our own strength and loving power to fit in with the societal molding around us. It cuts us off from the energetic flow and force of the universe and doesn't really help anybody. Who are you to say you are a warrior? Could you possibly be sacred? Can a warrior be daring and yet humble, strong yet fiercely compassionate and manifest more love in this world? These workshops were created with a profound belief that we are so much more than we think.
But I do think you raise some great questions. I don't typically give blanket definitions of the term sacred, as it seems to be a morphing concept that varies between individuals and their own unfolding process. What's sacred to you may be very different than what's sacred to me. But I do try and bring a sense of sacredness (as I experience it) to the ceremony of these workshops.
As for a sacred warrior "dying for his (and I would say her) beliefs," I wonder if that may be an outmoded way of perceiving this. What if a sacred warrior truly lived their experiences in an authentic and connected way? That's the primary intention behind these gatherings -- to create a space for small communities to come together and dare to be boldly present and honest with each other, working together to establish a deeper connection with each other and ourselves. And to be honest, this is something I work on, and also struggle with, every day. You don't need to die to do this but it does require a great deal of awareness and faith.
