Surrendering to the flow of reality is trusting yourself completely, allowing things which are you to just flow through you. Not to externalize anything is the view yet realizing that inside we are the sum total of the universe. Then creative expression just becomes as simple as breathing or walking it is our natural heritage, our birthright and it is to be done effortlessly. Are those who access the ecstasy more prone to experience it's opposite, - total depression? I'm a bit like that with marijuana, ecstatic when I have it, depressed when I don't. Maybe I should be more like Terence Mckenna who said something like 'I've heard there is life without cannabis, but I've never experienced it' :)

You're funny but you make a good point.  Jason Silva tends to ignore half the conversation when it comes to reveling in new technological power without mentioning a necessary concomitant evolution of consciousness, ethics, morality, selfhood, and social organization.  The future requires stereoscopic vision and going in drunk on potential is like cliff diving with one eye taped shut.

Some of what I have written about is state-of-the-art, and you might not even find it on the usual pro-tech or transhumanist websites like kurzweilai.net, hplusmagazine.com or acceler8or.com. e.g. I recently wrote about unsupervised semantic parsing (and indirectly about unsupervised ontology induction), which is a BIG BIG DEAL in A.I. research... but is not exactly the sort of thing you will see discussed on kurzweilai.net, for instance.
