Ecstatic Reverberations
In this video, Jason Silva meditates on the nature of inspiration via an ecstatic diatribe. The clip resonates with these beautiful lines about creativity and surrender, courtesy of the Imaginary Foundation:
"There is a moment that emerges when the creative process itself seems to 'talk' to the artist. Those who have listened deeply to this 'voice' that echoes the rhythms of the universe, and can recite its reverberations back into the stream, are capable of creating work that can enchant the very cosmos itself."

A high PR means high
hypomania..
Are those who access the ecstasy more prone to experience it's opposite, - total depression? I'm a bit like that with marijuana, ecstatic when I have it, depressed when I don't. Maybe I should be more like Terence Mckenna who said something like 'I've heard there is life without cannabis, but I've never experienced it' :)
To quote some more from Kahil Gibran 'The deeper sorrow carves into your being the more joy you can contain.'
Obsolete & Dangerous Progress Propaganda
You're funny but you make a good point. Jason Silva tends to ignore half the conversation when it comes to reveling in new technological power without mentioning a necessary concomitant evolution of consciousness, ethics, morality, selfhood, and social organization. The future requires stereoscopic vision and going in drunk on potential is like cliff diving with one eye taped shut.
