Farther Away from Ordinary Reality

Ralph Abraham PhD, the pioneering mathematician and chaos theorist, discusses the difference between the DMT experience and the LSD experience.

This interview was recorded for my upcoming documentary, DMT: The Spirit Molecule. The film weaves an account of Dr. Rick Strassman's groundbreaking DMT research through a multifaceted approach to this intriguing psychedelic found in the human brain and hundreds of plants, including the sacred Amazonian brew, Ayahuasca.  Utilizing interviews with a variety of experts to explain their thoughts and experiences with DMT, and ayahuasca, within their respective fields, and discussions with Strassman's research volunteers, The Spirit Molecule brings to life the awesome effects of this compound, and introduces far-reaching theories regarding its role in human consciousness.

Ralph Abraham has been Professor of Mathematics at the University of California at Santa Cruz since 1968. He is the author of more than 20 texts, including eight books currently in print, and has been active on the research frontier of dynamics -- in mathematics since 1960, and in applications and experiments since 1973. He has been a consultant on chaos theory and its applications in numerous fields (medical physiology, ecology, mathematical economics, psychotherapy, etc.). In 1975, he founded the Visual Mathematics Project at the University of California at Santa Cruz, which became the Visual Math Institute in 1990, with its popular World Wide Web site since early 1994. He has performed works of visual and aural mathematics and music (with Ami Radunskaya and Peter Broadwell) since 1992.

More crossover

That's incredibly interesting. I was a user of DXM in my younger days. Recently, I've had the chance to try Ayahuasca about 6 times. Approximately 6 months after the ayahuasca experiences, I took my first DXM trip in a long, long time. I was shocked during and the next morning to discover how much of the ayahuasca experiences had carried over into the DXM one (something, unfortunately, I was quite familiar with....). This is the first time I've heard someone else mention this. And this was no subtle effect, the crossover was very very apparent. Not sure where to go with this, but I'd be interested if anyone else has experienced something similar.

Totally psychology, I like.

Totally psychology, I like. I did not know, nor your blog moreover! I would return with pleasure!

YES!

Finally someone says it. Crystalline...perfect. The days you spent with Terence Mckenna weren't wasted. Now we can talk. Being inside or one with this vibratory dynamic. Some sort of universal intelligence enfolding into slightly different windows of operation and access. Bravo! Keep the transmissions coming. You are one of the transition agents. E=mc2.

Article

I just ran in to this fabulous Article from Dr. Abraham after having the chance to watch this video. This guy has a lot of undeniable ideas and truly believes in individual spiritual revolution. A great read and a good compliment to the video. http://www.maps.org/news-letters/long term drug rehab/v18n1/v18n1-MAPS_8-10.pdf

Now I have a huge idea about this topic

DMT is related to the near-death experience and also to dreams. And LSD is considered the typical hallucinogen and the characteristics of its action and effects apply to the other hallucinogens. Now I have a huge idea about this topic. But what this is all about used car auto parts chicago?
