Biographical
Susana Bustos is a Chilean psychologist and music therapist who received her doctorate in East-West Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) in San Francisco. Her work has focused on the therapeutic potential of non-ordinary states of consciousness and the supportive role of music in those states, particularly on the role of icaros during ayahuasca ceremonies. Susana co-leads groups into the Peruvian rainforest, teaches courses on entheogenic shamanism and research at CIIS, and works with clients seeking to integrate non-ordinary experiences into their daily lives in her private practice in Oakland, CA.
