Biographical
Sarah Maiden is a thirty-something Wise Fool who has explored entheogens and indigenous cultural practices as a path to personal salvation. Through exposure to modern, ancient, and culturally creative ceremony, she has explored the meeting places of structure and lineage, chaos and order and is left fascinated by the place where healing occurs, in the unmapped territory of the collective soul. Maiden is a writer of creative nonfiction which is decidedly true, but often beyond the realms of the average American experience. On the verge of 2012, Maiden is curious to participate in the mythos of a culturally created phenomenon and imagine the most amazing reality possible. As Lewis Carroll artfully once described the journey of the soul, Maiden feels that 2012 is a cultural choicepoint of the psyche - Alice asks the Cheshire Cat, "Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?" "That depends a good deal on where you want to get to," said the Cat. "I don't much care where--" said Alice. "Then it doesn't matter which way you go," said the Cat. "--so long as I get SOMEWHERE," Alice added as an explanation. "Oh, you're sure to do that," said the Cat, "if you only walk long enough." May we use the focal point of 2012 to point our feet towards beautiful revolution.
