Biographical

Rachel Kaplan has been gardening in and around urban environments for over 15 years and belongs to a bi-coastal family of farmers and gardeners. She is a somatic pscyhotherapist, educator and permaculture designer, holding two masters degrees--one in Multidisciplinary Art and the other in Counseling Psychology. She has written and edited numerous books, including two collections of her performance work, The Probable Site of the Garden of Eden, and Diaspora: Stories from the Cities. She lives in northern California with her partner and daughter on their little homestead, Tiny Town Farm.
