Biographical
Ora is a musician, performance artist, and unpublished writer in Chicago, Illinois. She grew up in the truly midwestern experience. She is the child of a Presbyterian Pastor, lived in multiple cities throughout Iowa in the 80s and 90s, and would be a shoo-in for the Iowa Board of Tourism. She holds a BA Music from Central College in Pella, Iowa, and a MM Composition from DePaul University in Chicago. While she is classically trained in contemporary academic music, she has a greater interest in music styles that incorporate a non-musical and experiential component, particularly spirituality.
Her current interests lie in the production of safe and responsible events for sacred ecstatic experiences and the development and production of sacred electronic music from an academic and popular perspective. Ora's interests include: writing (prolifically unpublished), fire dancing, DJ'ing, applied spiritual energetic theory, etymology, gender management, nature, family geneology, mystic studies, dietary ethics, skeptical verification of the paranormal, lighthearted comedy, armchair philosophy, and reality management.
