Biographical
I am the mother of three young daughters. Through them I have become storysteller, mythmaker, oatmeal stirer, and student. I spend most of my time playing The shark who eats the tiger before it saves the Princess who goes to the party with the fairy and cleaning smashed blueberries from the floor wearing a plastic tiara and tutu. Once in a while I get to shower and get dressed and sometimes I even get to do my work as a writer. I hope to serve my community as a birth guardian, where I hold birthing and mothering as a sacred transformation . Honoring women during their Rite of Passage as they go from One to Two is something our culture casts aside. I am driven by the possibility that babies born in postivily charged and family-centered will come to Earth in peace instead of defencs. I live with my family of five and two wolf dogs in a farming community in the Pacific Northwest. I am so grateful to be surrounded by forested mountains, fertile land and the sea. Nature is my mirror, my Home away from Om. I write about life at www.misplacedmama.blogsome.com
