Biographical
Jonah Bolt has lived a charmed and unique journey to say the least. He was not only present in NYC for 9/11 like many others but who's girlfriend at the time also worked on the 81st floor of the WTC Towers, in “02” he was in Tel Aviv, Israel, only blocks away from the first ever 2 female suicide bombers; he was in Thailand in “04” on the beach when the tsunami hit, and rode to the same subway station of the London bombings before they happened. He has traveled to 30 countries world-wide and has been published over a dozen times for his poetry and other writings. Given his grace and his awakening of what is happening in this world, Jonah is inspired to empower self-sustainability in this world, build networks to gather the masses, along with playing a part in his fathers self sustainability project called the “Domain.” His father Kenneth Yolman who worked and studied under Buck Minster Fuller has created an off grid self sustainable community designed using Bucky's Geodesic Domes. (www.domainecovillage.com ) Now with Jonah's redesign of the community, “The Domain’s ‘Flower of Life’ pattern has been added and depicts the fundamental forms of space and time.
With a NYC business background and skill set, along with his heart and passion to help others awaken to our truths and other ways of living in this world for a sustainable planet. Jonah is a positive force of transformation that is not only electric and contagious, but has a message that none can deny. Jonah is heavily involved in community development with organizations like, Transition Asheville (www.transitionasheville.org), Peacetown Asheville (www.peacetownasheville.org), Evolver (www.evolver.net) and has met with the Mayor of Asheville about his self-sustainability project to help the homeless, using aspects from the "Domain" Eco-Village. He is a YouthNOW campaign activist ( youthnow ) which reaches out to high school & college students across the globe, partnered & supported b We the World ( www.wetheworld.org ).
His own personal business launches include BoltWalker, Inc., a NYC business development firm that specialized in making Digital Flyers for the nightlife industry as well as website development, marketing, and online promotional campaigns. Sobernightlife.com, founded in Delray Beach, Florida, a website and event company he built and then franchised that provided sober party’s for the sober community in NYC, L.A., & all over South Florida. Bolt’s projects also include organizing Transition Asheville’s Official Coming-Out Party as the 88th Transition Town in the US & The International Day Of Peace event for the Peacetown Asheville Organization in 2011. He is also on the common table board of Transition Asheville over seeing the Building & Housing Action Group. Working to awaken a higher consciousness in his fellow X’ers, Bolt also hosts another radio show called Starseed Energy Radio ( www.starseedenergyradio.com ) that offers a mix of electronic music, news talk and interviews. Now his Zen 11-11 Eco-Festival and world tour, that will launch in Asheville, N.C. on the weekend of 11:11:11.( www.zen1111.com ).
As a member of a new generation of activists Bolt and others are networking and mobilizing for substantial change and they are ready to direct their youthful energy to solve real life problems. It’s all about bringing the head, heart and hands together to create a future we want to be a part of, Bolt added.
