Biographical

Trained as a medical doctor, Harvey Bigelsen practiced in New Jersey as an ophthalmologist in the mid-1970s. After becoming frustrated with the field of mainstream medicine, he learned about homeopathy and holistic medicine and moved to Arizona, where he helped to found the American Holistic Medical Association (AHMA). He lives in Nevada City, California, where he continues to practice holistic medicine.
