Eliza Bishop is a Yogini -- a practitioner of self-transformation. Since her childhood in western Pennsylvania, tuning in with the inner, outer, micro and macro cosmos through poetry, communion with human beings, meditation in nature, play, and wonder have been a gateway to the multi-verses of existence. Despite the inhuman processes of capitalistic alienating commodity culture, she foraged through a university degree, published several papers, lived in New York City, worked as an editor, bar tender, and numerous odd jobs -- all while meeting a few radical, enlightening beings along the way. In 2008, the inward journey became of supreme importance and she bought a one-way ticket to India. There she met Sakya Trinzin, the head of Sakya Tibetan Buddhism, and received the name Ngawang Lhakyi. She also studied Iyengar Yoga with B.K.S, Geeta, and Prashant Iyengar. Now she is living as a refugee from America in Switzerland. She continues to practice and teach the 'infinite benefits of yoga and meditation', as she calls it. www.elizabishop.com
When the energy of the brain descends to meet the heart - access to a higher consciousness opens - you are the knowledge - there is no duality anymore. The understanding and you are one. Finally, the eternal self shines alone in the mind.
