Biographical

Bruce Weaver has many early memories of a favorite uncle who traveled the world seeking treasure in exotic lands. Nomadic, he roamed the world, and each time he'd return home he would leave Bruce with vivid, intoxicating impressions, the way the National Geographics' he left behind like a calling-card did. The uncle vanished into thin air one day, never to be heard from again.

Now in his forties, Bruce has wandered the globe not unlike his mysterious uncle did, in search of treasures. Distinct from his uncle however, Bruce has sought the treasures of the heart, those that reveal our deepest purpose, searching out sacred teachings, mystics, elders, and primitive peoples living close to the natural world. Call it good fortune, karma or luck, Bruce has meet many spiritual teachers from a wide variety of traditions, each of whom have been the source of both guidance, and great inspiration. Today, these meetings with remarkable men inform his activities, yet always, Mother Earth and her organic rythms, filled with profound wisdom the muse that inspires awe, and passion in his work.

Bruce Weaver is a new cinema pioneer, and motion visual designer. He has produced and directed a variety of diverse DVD productions for independent bands, and prototype Internet TV series.
Bruce is currently working on his own independent feature documentary entitled; "Dance with Destiny ." The documentary examines the future of our planet, and society, from the viewpoint of prophetic messages from indigenous peoples, and other contemporary "seers," who foretell of a time of great change.

Bruce produced and developed the Ecohood VideoBlog project,  to help promote the Ecohood, an urban renewal project by Andrew Millison Host of the show,  EARTH CURRENT   a  prototype sustainable roadshow series created by both Bruce and Andrew. He is also the founder of BraveNewEarth.com a videoblog about a new vision for planet earth.

Bruce is a graduate of Vancouver Film School, where he attended on a full scholarship after being awarded first-place in a scholarship competition.

“Here is a film that awakens in us an awareness as unsettling as it is exhilarating,a vision in which we are not victims of fate but “response-able” participants in the illusion shattering dance with destiny. The prophetic heart explores the true frontiers of consciousness, where past, present and future meld seamlessly into activist art, an inclusive pulsing web of which we are both but a single inextricable strand and one of the crucial conscious weavers. We learn that our work is not only to create a sustainable future, but to develop the presence and judgment necessary to discern what values and ways of being are truly worth sustaining. Even as we face political repression and wars, environmental destruction and a culture of distraction and denial, we are each being given an assignment and opportunity to create holistic alternatives. We see that our personal struggles are part of a shamanic process of falling apart and being remade, much as the tumultuous Earth Changes tell the story of a living planet restoring balance through dramatic transformation.
