Biographical
Deb DeSalvo is the author of The Language of the Blues: From Alcorub to Zuzu (with a foreword by Dr. John), which the LA Times called "one of the wittiest, bawdiest and most fascinating dictionaries ever." The book includes stories from her interviews with many legendary blues artists and over 20 photos, some previously unpublished.
DeSalvo is also "one of the great guitar players of our time" according to Lucid Culture. She leads a rock power trio called DEVI with John Hummel on drums and Dan Grennes on bass. Listen to their 9/11-inspired song "Welcome to the Boneyard."
