Biographical

Professor Andrew Gurevich lives with his partner in Portland, Oregon where he teaches Religion, Literature and Philosophy. While finishing his Masters work in Biblical Theology, he had a series of transformative experiences that led him to renounce the experiential detachment and institutionalized hierarchy of the patriarchal religions and embrace a path of discovery in the archaic, integrative wisdom traditions. His work has appeared in The Ecologist, The Voice, Reality Sandwich, Current.com, dtheather.com as well as in the book "The Afterlife Survey." He is currently writing an article about the Goddess imagery in the Chauvet Cave in Southern France; as well as a book about the origins of  YHWH from among the mythologies of the Fertile Crescent. Andy wishes he looked more like Russell Brand but in actuality looks more like a "jewier" Jeff Goldblum. He also recently stopped eating anything with eyes (except potatoes). He has two children and no warrants (that he is aware of).
