Biographical
I am an artist, writer, philosophyer and organizer. I work Regionally as a volunteer with both Burning Man and the Evolver network.
In art, I work with vibration as a primary creative force. My understanding creation as vibration and light is expressed through everything from paper craft, creating stencils, to journaling and writing and also through expressive movement in dance.
Working in support of artists and art in all forms, I organize and direct community projects and events. My professional baakground is in non-profit finance and I carry an Associates of Arts as a Paralegal with an emphasis in legal research.
My philosophy, essentially, is that we are all creators. All matter carries a frequency and is vibration. What we put into the world, what we resonate, creates the world around us, literally. When there is silence, so there is nothing - this is the starting ground - nothing is the source of all things created and formed.
Creative community projets I've worked with include:
-Volunteer as part of the crew with BRC Box Office every year since 2008. Here I've greeted participants as they come to either purchase a ticket or pick up their will call ticket. This has been a great ritual to participate in, as I've often been the first face on playa to welcome these travelers home. I've also had the experience of a beautiful crew of people who I see every year, my dear playa family, where the only place we meet or kjnow each other from is Burning Man. <3
-Co-Producer and Key organizer of Utah's Regional Burn, Element 11 in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011. I held monthly community meetings, organized all placement, held annual sound-treatise meetings to establish ground between competing sound camps, managed all placement of theme camps and art projects, sheduled center camp performances and managed all permits, land use and insurance. I also organied alll fundraisers for Element 11 during these years.
-Forming the non-profit, Element 11 as a 501(c)(3). This was a four year project, working with a variety of community members and artists groups who all tie in to Burning Man and Element 11 as a Regional burn. This included forming a nomination process and process for community review for the Board of Directors, 12 members with 11 votes (the Chair of the Board having no vote). Element 11, the 501(c)(3) formed in late Fall of 2011 and has been meeting regularly and function well in the year since.
-Transformation Beyond Zion, 2009: Directed and Organized Utah's Regional Village at Burning Man with 3 theme camps from Utah focused on fire, performance and sound arts.
-Element 11 Decompression (Utah's Regional Decompression), 2009: Directed / Organzied this event featuring David Starfire with participation from over 20 different local artist including 3 art cars and several fire art projects.
-Bass Camp Metropolis, 2010: Directed / Organized this loud sound theme camp at Burning Man in 2010 featuring Mimosa, Bass Nectar and Psykovski. The stage was designed to look like a mayan temple and, due to the immense focus on Bass, became konwn as the Temple of Boom.
- Element 11's Decompression, 2010: worked with several local artist groups in Utah to organize and direct this party held in conjunction with Halloween as a fundraiser for Element 11 (Utah's Regional burn).
-Rites of Zion, 2011: Directed / Organized Village at Burning Man with 4 theme camps focused on visual, audio, psychedelic and body art including aerial perforamnce, dance and stilt walking. Rites of Zion also held ceremonial space for Rites focused on sound and vibration as creative and healing forces. And we had a lot of artistic contributions around the Rites of Passage theme.
-H.A.T.U. C.O.R.E., 2011: Regional Effigy project at Burning Man - the Hive Alembic of Transformative Universalities was an effigy representing Utah's region, built by more than 20 volunteers and Artists from Utah. This effigy was placed in a circle at Burning Man with 24 other regioinal effigies, around the Man. All effigies burned Thursday night. I was Project Lead for this effigy.

I also create stencils out of paper and metal working with light and fire as a part of my creative expression - several of my pieces have been cut with a plasma torch.
My work is all oriented to the support of artists and art in all forms. My personal artistic expression is found primarily as a writer, dancer and through creation of stencils.
