The Unseen Multiverse

multiverse-200.jpg

Researchers have developed a "dark flow" theory to explain the mind-bending phenomenon that unseen forces and unseen structures are "tugging" on our own, observable universe.  It is believed that current, unexplainable observations can be explained if one imagines that our universe is part of a larger, unseen multiverse, with its own laws of physics, directly interacting and effecting what happens in our own universe.  What is being called "dark flow" is the hyopthetical existence, and movement of unseen extra-universal matter.  It is hypothesized that this flow is the cause of certain unexplained phenomena.  Some researchers have doubts, but even those who do, agree that the new theory at least warrants further investigation.

Very interesting.

Very interesting.

Reminds me of M-Theory, in which the Universe is pictured as a supermassive blob of superfluid matter, and all mass is 'strings' flitting across its surface.

The theory (last I checked) is that there are many of these 'blobs' in a 'multiverse'; and that, in fact, it was the collision of two of them that caused what we know as the big-bang, as the energy from the collision excited the mass into energy forms we know as electro-magnetic.

M/String theory is still pretty unproven, though. The math works out wonderfully, and can even calculate past the previous singularity point, so there is hope...but the math being pretty is about all there is to go on, right at the moment. It was the same for Einstein when he first came forward with his equations, though, so that doesn't necessarily mean 'no'.

Invisible stuff

Theories such as this one and string theory are highly speculative and not really based on evidence, as far as I can tell. Essentially the proponents are saying "XYZ doesn't fit into our model so let's add invisible stuff to our model to account for it." So they imagine this invisible stuff that, if it existed, would result in XYZ. And that is fine to do, but you have to give up on it if you never find any actual evidence of the invisible stuff. And yet, it's perfectly acceptable for science to do this - string theory is still predominantly persued after decades of no evidence, using up who knows how much time and money.  Let's put those resources towards studying psychic abilities and other invisible stuff that there is real evidence for.

You have a small point, but not fully considered here....

No one is physics is saying "let's make our standard models work by inventing invisible matter", that is a projection you are putting onto them, and quite unfairly I believe. Dark Matter and Dark Energy, at this time, is the leading candidate to explain the universe's expansion at the rate that it is.

I find the dark matter and dark energy theory to be the most stimulating thing in physics today, far more strange than the quantum world. Consider; physicists are suggesting that there currently may be some mysterious 'form' that is completely unviewable by all of our modern models and instruments. They have a few theories about what this could be (hence the speculative nature of your suggestion), however, the fact is that we can record something quite real tugging on our physical universe that we cannot account for in the standard model. That is paradigm shattering stuff.

We can call it 'dark matter', consciousness, or even G.O.D. or Aliens, what is important now to understand is that is is recordable and unknown, and scientists are confronting this mystery head on.

This is the most exciting thing to hit physics since QM, imho.

The Unseen Universe

The Universe is predominantly electric, as might be our sun.

Google the names "Kristian Birkeland" and "Hannes Alfven" both of whom did extensive studies on this subject.

uh dude...

can I buy weed from you? No but really the contained container is a bit of an arbitrary connection. Orders of complexity and set theory are two different phenomena, so why go into the stoner universe in your fingernail thing?

Energy flow from unseen dimensions?

Two non-mainstream physicists, Richard Hoagland and Nassim Haramein, have postulated that energy is still flowing into our universe from other dimensions: not just 15 billion years ago and all at once, as for a hypothetical Big Bang, but still ongoing today!

I did not take much notice of their ideas, until distinct symbols from their theories were shown in English crop pictures at Secklendorf, Germany on June 23, 2008, or at Oliver's Castle on August 16, 2008: see www.cropcircleconnector.com/anasazi/time2007s.html

Then on August 17, 2008, about twenty dancing "balls of light" were videotaped by Andy Fowlds over another crop picture at Westwoods: see www.medwaycropcircle.co.uk/westwood2008bols.htm

Mainsteam academic scientists on Earth have not yet taken such well-documented but anomalous data in account, when formulating ever more complex views about dark matter or the non-existence of extra-terrestrials.

Those new experimental data, as well as novel physical theories promoted by Hoagland or Haramein, would seem to indicate that the current consensus view among modern academics might be wrong.

By all means, other people should discuss this important subject further, but not before studying at the two informative links provided above, and evaluating those new concepts with an open mind.

uh yeah what he said...

see how I conserve energy by making someone thats better suited to deal with bovinefecalmatter lay it out plainly, good work Red, fallacy procuers should be pwnd.

Haramein

Red, I love the fact that we are on the same "side" on this issue, despite our differences on some details  =P.  This, to me, shows the real transformative and informational power of this medium, when the individuals involved are dedicated to really finding the Truth.  You even give me increasing food for thought with your crop-circle business...though I am still skeptical.  ^_^  That said:

Indeed, I was a proponent of M-Theory before I saw Haramein's DVD (and I still think it might have much to teach us).

Hoagland and Haramein's theories are much more elegant explanations for the Universe as we percieve it, however, requiring no insertion of 'theoretical' dimensions of motion, or Dark Matter/Energy...or actually even the Strong Force in atoms or the Color Force in quarks.

Ockham's(Occam's) Razor would seem to favor them strongly.

Instead of creating forces we can't yet explain, they simply add gyroscopic torque, centrifugal force, and coriolis effects (which we aleady know to be in existence in every spinning thing...and, hey!  What do you know?  Everything spins!), and add those equations onto the basic equations of gravity's space-time warping effects.

Bam.  It works out perfectly, with none of the disparity we see in the non-inclusive equations between matter there is, and matter there should be.

It is more complex than this (including allowing for the Unknowable to be at the center of all things...mathematically!), but Nassim Haramein and Elizabeth A. Rauscher have published their work in peer reviewed journals, and it has stood up so far.

"You must *be* the change you wish to see in the world." Mahatma Gandhi

Ah! Wonderful!

Very nice.  For 6 years I have kept a copy of that very poem from the Hopi in my wallet.  I take it out and read it when it all seems too much.

Thank you so much for bringing it to RS.

Here is a poem of my own, that I suddenly feel inspired to share:

Normal 0

(I tried to get rid of the Normal 0 =P)

A Single Leaf

Slowly, through the golden wood,

the Seeker steps in thought;

of the True, the Good, and the Beautiful,

as any sincere Seeker ought.

As he walks on

in reverie profound,

a floating leaf flutters by.

Drifting on the wind,

its motion catches his eye.

He watches it

come to rest,

and the thought strikes him from the blue  -

thousands of leaves fall every day --

unnoticed, unseen, with no ado.

A number of leaves unknowable are hurled,

they say, into the wind each year –

But each leaf, itself, will fall

but once;

in all the turnings of the World.

As different as any two snowflakes,

yet unsung, and less loved than them.

It seems, to him, suddenly profound --

the parallels between leaves and men.

Forming, growing, failing,

its fated, final foe

is that wind which rips it

finally from its branch,

and carries it into the unknown.

It may hang tight in fear,

for a while;

but that only means

that a still stronger wind, one day, will whip --

and tear it from its tree.

Then it may find, to its surprise,

the beauty of the ride,

as the wild breeze carries it

for a while -- far, high, and wide.

Then the wonder of rejoining

all who fell before,

laying now, resting peacefully,

upon the forest floor.

And the greatest mystery of it all --

that from them new life will spring!

Seems enough, when truly pondered, to

make even the most jaded sing.

But, perhaps, most wonderful,

is the Seeker himself; for in his Quest

he has learned to look

with more than just the eyes,

and truly Sees -- at last:

Life,

Fear,

Beauty,

Wonder,

Mystery,

yes, Infinity --

are to be found in even

the fall of a single leaf.

Flagged?  Really?  Its

Flagged?  Really?  Its polite.  The overall topic of the poem is seeing into unknown worlds by learning to use more than just the 5 senses.

I apologize to whomever I offended.  I felt inspired, and did not realize I had crossed a line.

I flagged myself as subversive...

since the "genuises" at NSA were too stupid to realize my basic intent is to put them out of a job!

it was a falseflag...

I flew under, just  to make them stew over the confusion of a rose not to fame or shame but knows how to play the blame game b4 the pieces are on the board!

Thanks ChibiOne

Hey ChibiOne, I truly appreciated your poem, as it seemed to articulate a common experience for me. I walk a lot in "wild" places every day: from the bleak green deserts of the welsh mountains, to the salt whipped rocks of the atlantic coast, but my head is often trapped in the realm of the media, politics, identity, economy and a recurring thought is, "where did reality go?"

So when I read your lines I fell in love with you a little bit, and felt like you were my brother or sister, beacuse, I think, reality has become art, and creativity is the healthiest mode of being. That leaf you encountered is a strong shamanic guide, if I may be so bold.

Thanks for posting.

PS: Don't worry about the random flag, your post and your poem were good.

Thank you so much.

My poems are like my diary.  I use them to bring into cohesion intense experiences or realizations, as pure prose seems too didactic or linear to truly encompass an actual experience.

I share it rarely, and was really putting myself out there.  To find it flagged was -- in truth -- sort of heartbreaking.  I, myself, have only flagged obvious trolls.  The flagging system is good, and necessary, however.

That is what community is all about.  And I was willing to accept the decision to remove my comment, if it came to be.

Cooperation is key in

  • Cooperation is key in community.  I didn't say I would have liked it.  In point of fact, I was as angry as I have been in some time, initially.  But still I would do it, due to my respect for this forum and community.  My little bit of wordcraft seems insignificant beside this overall movement.

  • Would you try to derail an entire passenger train, even if Hitler himself were aboard?

  • The 'screw you guys, I'm going home' ideology will not get us anywhere...at this point especially.

  • What is going on here is far bigger, and more important, than my small self.  I have my perspective, and my voice will be heard...I refuse to be simply pushed aside, as though I were of no account, any longer.  But that doesn't mean everyone (or anyone) has to agree with me.

  • The elephant feels like a totally different creature, depending on which part you can put your hands on.

December 23, 2012

I saw this interesting crop picture of the day December 23, 2012 when our Mayan Long Count calendar ends. The original version may be found on

www.cropcircleconnector.com/anasazi/WHAT%20DO%20MODERN%20CROP%20PICTURES%20MEAN.html

Does anyone really believe it was made by humans with ropes and boards? And if not, then what are they trying to tell us?

The Hopis called him "Pahana" meaning "lost white brother".

We know so little

I know that I will (and have been) blasted for this but I agree with Lygeia! It does not matter what some of you will say or think. The universe is electrically alive, deal with it. This is all I have to say because I know where this will go...

"Electrically alive"

  • Okay...so, everything that we can perceive with the 'five senses' is a part of the electro-magnetic spectrum.  Varying degrees of frequency of one basic spectrum of energy.

  • I'll have to look up the two persons Lygeia mentions (and I am always happy to have new avenues to explore)...but, on the surface of it...what does 'electrically alive' mean?  Everything that is 'alive' lives because of -- at the most basic level -- the exchange of electrons in relation to protons.  Is this all you are saying?

  • I would love to hear a further explication of this idea, as you understand it.

I don't know, but . . .

Interesting how a proposition or speculation results in some profound poesy. And the poesy sends the mind into that great deep.

Imagine oneself in that great, real, ocean that separates continents. All alone, rising and falling on those waves.

No one else there. Just oneself. All alone. Or just the waves as ones' companion.

Imagine that.

Then one is not really alone. The waves are ones' kin.
