United We Expand

With contributions from Clay Shirky, Alan Cox, Paul Miller, Don Tapscott and many others, Us Now explores the ways in which new technologies and a closely related culture of collaboration present radical new models of social organization.
The principles of trust, transparency, self-selection and open participation are coming closer and closer to the mainstream of our social and political lives. Us Now describes this transition, telling the stories of the online networks whose radical self-organizing structures may change the fabric of government forever.
The film is streaming online for free and the filmmakers intend to license all of the footage with a Creative Commons license.

A+++
thank you
Inspiring stuff!
What an uplifting film, thanks for making it and thanks to those who are doing all that good work. As I organise a local farmers' market I have been curious about new ways of organising truly 'democratic' structures. This film appears to have some of the answers.
As the film says, the new paradigm challenges organisers like myself to be transparent in our methods and let go of the control. Easier said than done but totally necessary. Our challenge hasn't changed: defeat of our own ego for the greater good!
I can see that a lot of people are very indoctrinated in the old patriachal system of 'the big guys know what's best' and will undoubtedly feel threatened by the new way of people organised systems. However, it represents a welcome change that is upon us.
Thanks again!
