Two Seat Solar Car

This lightweight, high strength solar powered car made of Nomex honeycomb, a material widely used in aircraft and aerospace components, would need only a few hours of sunlight to power the car for three hours, travelling up to 70km/h.
The project's research and development leader, Ay Herchang and a team at National Kaohsiung University of Applied Sciences have participated in international solar car races, placing second out of 50 cars at the 2007 World Solar Challenge.
The two seater solar car is expected to be priced at about $25,000.
