Transitioning for Tomorrow

Jennifer Gray.jpg

Jennifer Gray, a pioneer of the UK's popular Transition Town movement, is now bringing the community driven eco-response team to the United States with Transition US. With 100 official initiatives already  in the UK, Gray hopes to expand the "Transition Network" to America.

In this video interview with Peak Movement Television, Gray outlines the importance of community development toward addressing challenges such as peak oil and climate change. She encourages the discovery of gifts within each community, allowing a "collective genius" to reveal itself through active progress. Gray also acknowledges the importance of local government, suggesting cooperation rather than revolt, to maximize their efforts.

For general interest on getting started, check out Rob Hoskin's The Transition Handbook. The training and design team for Transition US is currently touring across the country.
