Collective Hardware, 169 Bowery, below Delancey, NYC
Monday, March 15, suggested contribution $15, show starts 7:30 pm
"Off the Grid" is a television talk show filmed before a live studio audience, hosted by Daniel Pinchbeck, featuring guests with incisive opinions, practical advice, and visionary proposals. The show is co-produced by Stuart Braunstein and Jeffrey Hagerman, and co-directed by Braunstein and Matt Arrow. Musical guests to be announced.
For our premiere pilot episode, our guests for "Off the Grid" will be:
Aton Edwards, author of "Preparedness Now" (Process Press), the Executive Director of The International Preparedness Network, and the creator of his own martial arts system. Edwards will explain how civilians can prepare themselves for social disruptions, natural disasters, and other emergencies that cause a disruption in basic services.
Abel Ferrara, director of "The Bad Lieutenant", "The Funeral", "The Addiction", "King of New York", and many other films. According to Variety,
"A prolific, driven writer-director known for his highly atmospheric,
stylized portraits of an ultra-violent, crime-ridden New York City, Abel
Ferrara works on a metaphorical and allegorical level exploring the battle
between good and evil." Ferrara will discuss his work as a director and
perspective on the current culture.
