The Time for Change is Now

2012_tfc_big.jpg

Our documentary, 2012 Time for Change, is showing in Chicago on Wednesday, October 27th.  Please tell your friends and come out to support this labor of love.

Here's a description of the film:

2012: Time for Change presents an optimistic alternative to apocalyptic doom and gloom. Directed by Emmy Award nominee João Amorim, the film follows journalist Daniel Pinchbeck, author of the bestselling 2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl, on a quest for a new paradigm that integrates the archaic wisdom of tribal cultures with the scientific method. As conscious agents of evolution, we can redesign post-industrial society on ecological principles to make a world that works for all. Rather than breakdown and barbarism, 2012 heralds the birth of a regenerative planetary culture where collaboration replaces competition, where exploration of psyche and spirit becomes the new cutting edge, replacing the sterile materialism that has pushed our world to the brink. The film features Sting, Ellen Page, David Lynch, Gilberto Gil, and many other artists and visionaries.

Springtime in Seattle

I attended a screening/panel discussion here in Seattle, back in the springtime. I wanted to put out there for anyone whom is curious about the documentary, that I thought the film offered me a palatable "Reality Sandwich".

In short... "2012: Time for a Change" for me was an insightful and modest presentation of critical information along with engaging approaches towards crucial solutions, in regards to our potentially, "willful", transformation of our current age.

Time for Change in Chi-town

Daniel, Is there a chance of the film hitting Chicago? If not, I'd be happy to organize some screening in early 2011. Daniel Hanrahan

I say:   2010 : Time

2010 : Time For Change!

DVDs!

Daniel - where is the big announcement!??!!

I (and hopefully everyone else here) have been waiting for a long time for a chance to see the new film. And like 99.9999 percent of the planet, a screening at some specific time on some specific date in some city here or there is not useful to me. Whereas when the film is available on DVD, it is accessible to everyone on the planet - everywhere - 24/7/365.

I signed up at the site long ago to be informed of the DVD release. I have still not been contacted. Last week I came upon this post which caused me go and check the website just in case the DVD was out. First I clicked on the the big ad over there on the right that says "Host a Screening in Your Area", thinking maybe if you sign up for this you can get a DVD - but the link was dead (and still is).

So I went to the film's website which redirected me to the site where the DVD can be ordered - and there it is - PLUS it says it is a Limited Edition with 2 hours of extra bonus interviews. PLUS - there is another DVD called 2012 Time For Change Presents - VOL 1 - Psychedelic Science, which is 3 hours of interviews. (and would also imply that there may be future additional volumes) PLUS - another new film by the same director is being sold on the same page - Beyond 2012 - a 2-DVD set - over 3hrs (produced by Daniel).

Of course I ordered them all immediately. They showed up in just a few days. I have not had time to get through most of this yet, but the 2012 Time For Change film is very good and the other stuff looks very good also - tons of interviews with very interesting people. Tons of inspiring ideas.

Films can be a very powerful agent of change. If anyone associated with these films thinks they are any good or would like people to see them or thinks that they can be a factor in helping this world to evolve - LET'S LET PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT THEM!!!!!! Like RIGHT AWAY!!!

I have seen no mention of the Time for Change DVDs here and have seen no mention of the existence of the other 2 films ever anywhere. I added all of them to my documentary films page: http://www.ionet.net/~tslade/docufilm.htm

Perhaps someone might come across this, but its a bit hidden here - PLEASE announce that these DVDs are now available. Also since all 3 films are related and are sold on the same page, it would be nice to have some discount for ordering all three. Also they need to be on Amazon and Netflix.

If anyone found this - go order these films! Its TIME FOR CHANGE!

(and thanks to Daniel, Joao and everyone involved in these films for producing them! I assume you must have plans to announce them - I just think you might need to be nudged or reminded that every second counts and you don't want to keep these DVDs top secret any longer!)

Atlanta Screening?

I was very disappointed to see the to-be-announced Atlanta screening disappear from the Upcoming Screenings page. What happened? Looks like a dvd for me....

Thanks
