There's Something Strange on the Moon

moon_112808_large.jpg

I have to tell you from the beginning that I am somewhat prejudiced about the subject of Dark Mission: The Secret History of NASA, the new book by Richard C. Hoagland and Michael Bara. My own investigation of the high strangeness that exists on the lunar surface began in 1992 and dovetails with Hoagland's search for answers.

In the mid-sixties, before the Apollo missions, NASA compiled a report of astronomers from the past who had witnessed anomalous activity on the surface of the moon through their telescopes. Titled R-277 and found here, each page of this report is filled with weirdness. Flashing lights, moving objects, even clouds are seen on the moon by astronomers as famous as Messier, Herschel, and Bianchini. These compiled reports go all the way back to 1540.

My own interest in the moon initially came from the moon symbol on the Cross of Hendaye mentioned in Fulcanelli's mysterious book Mysteries of the Cathedrals. I vowed to myself in 1986 that I would examine every facet of this mysterious monument rightly believing that it held many answers to the mysteries of our world. Through the course of my initial investigation I discovered the aforementioned NASA document. After reading it I knew that something odd was on the moon.

I first interviewed Richard C. Hoagland on my public radio show "Mind Over Matters" in 1992. At the time he had been combing through many NASA photographs which showed the weird anomalies that are apparently all over the moon's surface. We spent many hours examining these photographs and discussing the implications involved with their discovery. The conclusion that we reached was that NASA had found something of such importance that it had to be covered up. It could be one of the greatest discoveries of all time. But what were they? How had they been built? And by whom? These were the questions that vexed us all those years ago. I watched as Hoagland developed a brilliant theory that explains most of the curious things that Apollo found on the moon.

In Dark Mission we get Hoagland's blow by blow account of NASA's discovery and subsequent cover up of this most astonishing find. This book courageously reveals the unexplainable anomalies that have been found all over the lunar surface. Well written and exciting, Hoagland and Bara have made an important contribution.

Isaac Asimov once said that the weirdest object in the universe is the moon. He didn't know how right he was. Dark Mission successfully leads the reader down the rabbit hole and into the labyrinth of evidence of humanity's real past and the promise of our destiny.

In Stanley Kubrick's film, 2001: A Space Odyssey, NASA discovers a mysterious black monolith, obviously intelligently designed, buried a few feet beneath the lunar surface. The monolith is a device left there millions of years ago waiting to be discovered by us when we are finally advanced enough to find our way to the moon. According to Hoagland, Stanley Kubrick's fable is the real history of NASA.

It is probably just a strange coincidence that Kubrick was making his film during the same years that NASA was planning and executing the Apollo missions.

Or maybe not.

If one comes away from Dark Mission unconvinced all I ask is that you look at the evidence for yourself. Ask yourself how there can be objects and refracting light sitting above an airless lunar surface? Ask yourself why NASA never tries to explain this? Ask yourself why the Apollo 11 original video tapes have mysteriously disappeared?

When the ships from Europe first arrived on the shores of the Americas over 500 years ago the native people didn't understand what they were seeing. It wasn't until they were taken aboard the ships by the Europeans that they came to understand what the ships actually were. Because they had no context, European technology seemed alien and strange to them. When looking at the evidence of anomalous lunar objects, try not to make the same mistake that those Native Americans made so long ago. When looked at with new eyes, one can only reach the conclusion that Hoagland is right and there is something very strange about the moon.

Moon v. Mars

I was wondering––not having investigated this in depth––if and what the findings, and mysteries, on both the Moon and Mars have in common. Thanks for this piece––I'll be checking out Dark Mission. Always loved Kubrick's 2001 discovery of the key on the Moon and the entire resultant suggestive segue into deeper mysteries of consciousness and other realities.

???

Well good grief, can't you even give a hint as to what this "astonishing find" is all about? This piece reads like a teaser for an alleged exposé one knows will disappoint in the end, like a supermarket tabloid headline...

What if separation is a myth, that it truly does not exist on any level. If so, is the moon an example of the nature of consciousness; of our consciousness?  Their can be little doubt to our connections to the moon, not that we fully understand them, not that 'we' as a people actually devout what we know to practice.  The moon is a synchronistic organizing principle of life upon our living planet.  We embody consciousness but have thus far not recognized our full connections to that of the universe. Without separation, the moon is apart of our complex coming of age as a consciousness being.  Questions are good although some don't think the human mind is ready for the comprehension of the answers.  Without doubt the answers are beyond ourselves.  Damn, I want to know more anyway don't you!?

Yes

I like the way you put it and what you said about the moon. I want to know more, too, but then we're separated again, right? :-) www.farrfeed.com

yEs

Separation is only a matter of perspective.  In reality I dont think it exists, especially when looking at the interconnectivity of all things.  what do you think? It would be so cool if in reality this moon theory was true.  I hope it is, but I might have to go their to believe it either way.  :-)

A Thousand Pardons

No need for me to have been so abrupt. The fact is, I find the topic (which I of course deduced) extremely interesting -- and that's why I became so frustrated. (How dare he make me google?)

I suppose I should check out the book, although I at least have to stay detached from these "great hidden secret" archetypes. Every one I've ever swallowed left me empty. But previous inhabitants of the solar system? Absolutely! I don't understand how the existence of physical evidence could possibly be concealed, but let that go: confirmation of artifacts from an earlier race, human or non-human, wouldn't surprise me. And I think such news would be a wonderful thing. It would make us more aware of ourselves as a species, given that there would be others to measure ourselves against.

If we were lucky, this might make more of us want to be the very best kind of homo sapiens we could be. I mean, if we're not alone in the solar system, never mind the universe, then they might come visit, and just LOOK at the goddamned place! www.farrfeed.com

What about china

They have done their fair share of exploring the moon with satalites and cameras, am i suppose to assume the chinese government are in cahoots with america to cover up a discovery such as this?

Chinese Space Program

I don't think they need be in cahoots, but the Chinese are not exactly known for being forthcoming with information...about anything.

If (and I mean 'if') the Chinese found anything on the Moon they would be looking to exploit it for themselves not to inform the global community about it.

Scalar Technology

The type of technology that may have been discovered on the moon is, according to Weidner, "scalar technology." I looked this up on the Net and didn't find a great synopsis. I suspect it may be something like the technology utilized in the great kid's movie, "The Last Mimsy".

If anyone knows more about scalar technology, as a theoretical concept or in practice, I would love to learn. It is dismissed on Wikipedia as "pseudo-science."

scalar tech primer, brief -

Scalar technology at its core is the alteration of properties of matter by the manipulation of the ‘template’ for that matter at the level of what is known as the “Dirac Sea”.
In Buddhist terms, the “Dirac Sea” is the source for the ‘kalapa’, or indivisible unit. Where modern science seeks for multiple sub atomic particles, the ancients stated that there was only a single particle coming to create matter, but that it had 66 thousand expressions. As science moves closer to understanding the continuous creation model of universe, the focus has shifted to the study of  the sub atomic, and the energies called scalar which are at play at that level.
Basically the idea is that scalar technology works off of the maths found in the discoveries of Le Clerk Maxwell, without the Heavyside revisions. See the ‘free energy’ area of fringe sciences for more depth.
The scalar tech engineer sets up fields and focal points to alter the energies at the lowest possible level toward the sub atomic. At this level it is possible to shut off the expression of ‘gravity’ as an aspect of the appearance of matter/kalapas, as an example. Further expansions of the manipulation of these 66 thousand aspects for the IU (indivisible unit) lead to more capabilities. It matters not (pun intended) that science sees the issue around multiple particles, and conjunction of particles, rather than aspects of the single IU. The practical effects are nearly the same without regard to the understanding of the manipulators.
Start with Townsend Brown, and work out from there. Let me know if you need further pointers or clarifications.
Oh, and HAARP is a scalar tool derived from Tesla’s work. Much of his more esoteric twists were seeking greater scalar control.

Scalar / Tesla

Mr. P, try searching "Scalar" in context with "Tesla," and you may have better luck.

I haver no doubt that

I haver no doubt that strange things are happening on the moon. In late October/2004 on consecutive nights during a full moon, I watched two objects orbit the moon through my 5" telescope. The size and speed left no doubt that they were within about 5 or 10 miles of the surface, maybe closer. To be seen they would also have to be quite large.

It would be nice

I've never really considered myself to be a cynic, be that towards accepted reality or accepted fabrication, but my interest in conspiracy theories is of wonder rather than belief. I just sometimes wish the realities were fabricated and that fabrications were reality, it would make things so much more interesting :)

Helium 3 is one of the secrets of the Moon

Helium 3 (the dust covering the Moon in great piles) is an energy source such that whoever has the monopoly on bringing back from the Moon to Earth will be among the greatest powers in planet history.  Not a word from NASA about that though.

Moon Craters are Exothermic EM Pulses

perfect circles, most of them, no? from pulses over bases, protective umbrellas or bullseyes pulled out in situ upon targets just like zapping a corn crop... EM, EM....are you also Aunty EM? Are you footprints of timeless passions being fought in the density of territory formerly known as swiss cheese?

There's Something Strange on the Moon

Isaac Asimov and Arthur C. Clarke, not mentioned by name yet but was the co-author of 2001: A Space Odyssey, have always been 2 of my favorite authors since I started to read SF. Another SF author that has written about something similar as the monolith in 2001: A Space Odyssey is Frederick Pohl's Gateway series. Check it out for more possibilities.
