The Cottonwood Research Foundation, a project of Dr. Rick Strassman ("DMT: The Spirit Molecule"), has gained tax-exempt status:

The Foundation's work focuses on developing technology for detecting various endogenous entheogenic compounds, researching plant-based psychoactives in psychiatric research, organizing educational conferences focused on plant-based psychoactives, and training individuals in the use of plant-based psychoactives within clinical settings.
