“The higher you build the bonfire, the more darkness you will reveal.” - Terence McKenna

Daily Grail's new anthology, Darklore, explores hidden histories, the paranormal and esoteric, and the strange and revelatory. Darklore brings together some of the top researchers and writers on topics from outside of mainstream science and history

In the first volume Daniel Pinchbeck writes about the McKenna brothers and the 'psychedelic apocalypse', Mike Jay looks into the link between ancient Peruvian culture and the use of psychedelics in his article "Enter the Jaguar: Psychedelics in Ancient Peru," Michael Grosso investigates strange things happening at the time of death and Greg Taylor presents some original research on the 'sounds of altered states of consciousness' with "Her Sweet Murmur: Exploring the Aural Phenomenology of Border Experiences".

Eighteen extensively researched articles populate Darklore Volume I, three of which are available as free PDF downloads on Daily Grail. The journal should keep you well assisted as you navigate the darkness of the hinterlands, borderlines and worlds beyond.

Cheers!

Thanks for the mention Morgan, appreciate it! I'm really proud of this book, and even though I'm biased I have to say it's a great read.

One other thing worth pointing out: as I've mentioned in a recent interview with Reality Sandwich (with Tristan), the concept behind the Darklore project is to return as much of the profits to the creators of the work as possible. Standard publishing returns about 1/15th of retail price to the creator (author) - with our print-on-demand and Internet-only sales model, we are able to return above 1/4, and almost 1/3, of retail price to the writers. The one corporation we are beholden to is Amazon.com, but if we can grow a large, dedicated audience, we could even by-pass them and go directly to a subscription model.

I'm sure Reality Sandwich readers will agree that our fresh approach is one worth trying, at the very least. Your mention here on RS is one more step towards helping the project become a success. So once again, thanks.

Kind regards,

Greg
