Surreal Chilean Skies
A video has emerged of strange lights in the Chilean sky on the day before the massive 8.8 earthquake, causing speculation about whether the apparition was a HAARP projection or UFO warning related to the impending disaster. Others point to similar videos taken in China and Haiti prior to the recent earthquakes in those countries, and the possibility that shifts in the earth's crust have a dramatic effect on the atmosphere.
Whatever the case, there is at least one eyewitness account of strange lights being present in the sky at the time that the ground opened up in Chile. Cecelia Lagos, a Chilean reporter, was interviewed by CNN and described seeing the sky change colors outside her window as her house shook. Although the CNN clip wasn't available, here's an MSNBC video of her telling a similar story and the transcript from the actual CNN interview, in which she compares what she saw to a seen out of the big blockbuster disaster film, 2012:
Cecelia Lagos - "Besides, I saw through my window, while I was still in bed, I saw the sky changing colors, it was absolutely surreal. I really thought it was the end of the world...I don't know I hope you understand me because I'm not exaggerating really because I saw it through my window like that. That was the most terrifying thing seeing the sky changing colors with the terribly, amazingly,strong movement of the earth, I thought, ok...this is mother earth... the earth opened up and buildings crumbled into the earth ...like in the movie 2012..."

What am I looking at?
There's a big tree in the way and it looks a lot like unusual clouds... If I was going to go through the trouble of documenting a surreal sky-pattern like this, I'd at least get a clear shot of it. Not to say that there WEREN'T strange patterns in the sky, I just don't see this video as evidence of it. Funny how now that the idea of earthquakes being caused by the states is in people's minds, every earthquake is apparently caused by them.

This is pretty clearly intended to be a sunset picture, facing west, but from the sharp shadows on the east sides of the trees, the side of the house, and the cars in the driveways, it appears that some portions of this image are from a morning shoot.
Look at the central tree, the one that is in the way. Squirrels are frolicking in it. For tree squirrels, that is not a post-sunset activity.
Also, for the camera exposure that shows the sky as bright as it is, that central tree should be dark, unless it is glowing from within with spiritual beauty (that's a joke).
One final visual anomaly: the tree in the upper forground is moved by a gentle breeze that seems to be present nowhere else.
In its favor, the weather is correct for sunset, February 26, 2010, for the alleged site.
The most damning for me, though, is the youtube profile of the person that posted it. Hugo says that he's from Conception, Chile. That's not a typo (c and t are really far apart on the keyboard). This is how a North American might accidentally use the closest english cognate that he can get when trying to type the city name Concepcion.

I have wondered if Haarp is even functional?...and how it could create an 8.8 mag quake...with 20.. 5+ aftershocks? Haarp is like a 'pop-gun' compared to the forces of the universe.....doesn't seem possible..
I have read several accounts of a 'purple haze' in the sky prior to the quake....

In my understanding
HAARP sends a signal into the upper atmosphere, the ionosphere, which then is bounced down into the ground to vibrate the tectonic plates underneath where the earthquake forms. The visual phenomenon are caused by the distortion of the atmosphere.

For people speculating about HAARP, you should not underestimate the MASSIVE output of power that these arrays of antennae are capable of. There is some evidence to show that HAARP may be based on Nikola Tesla's unbuilt invention, the death ray, which he started to develop and then when he realized the destructive power of it he tried to destroy his data so it wouldn't ever be built.
If you look at Tesla's calculations for the maximum energy required for the deathray, and the maximum energy that HAARP actually outputs, they are almost exactly the same threshold of energy.
I read about this stuff a while back so I can't give a source off the top of my head but if you look around I'm sure you can find stuff about it.

Sundogs have long been seen as harbingers of change by many cultures, and Native American in particular, although I don't know much about this. Anyone know the mythological/prophetic importance of sundogs?

Just saw a massive sundog tonight before sunset, in fact. I'll admit, my mind did touch on the word "earthquake" (I'm in the Pacific Northwest, where we're raised to be ready for the "Big One").

Before speculating if a technology is powerful, maybe people should watch the hourlong documentary on HAARP called Holes in Heaven or something. And yes, Jesse Ventura's show is kinda corny, but he knows what the HAARP thing is all about.
It's hard to notice the skies when you're at work all day, especially inside. I don't have a job at the moment and for me, the skies are getting wierder everyday. As far as I'm concerned, I see and feel "natural" weather/skies very rarely these days.
The other day I took a time-lapse video of a "storm" that seemed HUGE, and caused much lightning, MUCH LIGHTNING, but very little, in fact, almost NO thunder... And not a drop of rain. The 2 hours can be found here: http://www.sendspace.com/file/304pjw
And often we'll get spurts of rain that last only 5-10 minutes and stop... stop for days. Like the clouds will build up as if there's gonna be HUGE storm within minutes, maybe even a tornado, by the looks of it, and then NOTHING. It's fucking strange. Watch my video. You see no rain, but earlier in the day, 10 minutes of heavy rain. And yes, I sound crazy if you don't take into acount that this is happening all month, all the past 2 months. Rain only ever seems to fall like 5 mintues at a time, 10 mintues maybe. SOMETIMES an hour, but it's rare. I've lived here my whole life. Fuck observer bias, this is not normal. The clouds I'm seeing are not normal. The "red sky at night, salor's delight, red sky in the morning, salor's warning" motto doesn't hold true here anymore. You get a red sky at night sometimes several nights a week, and the next day is always lame and cloudy all day.
Again, people, I would watch what you fucking say. (I know a lot of fancy people around here may be thinking this but are too shy to say it but...) It's getting way too easy for people these days to have an opinion on something while doing absolutely no research at all about it. That attitude is pompous and pisses me off a lot. That may be.... that doesn't mean that HAARP's manipulation doesn't cause them as well. In addition, I sometimes saw clouds that look like a ying-yang, like 3 of them in the sky at once. They look like they're swirling around, the ying and the yang, around each other, if you watch a still image of it, but otherwise they're staying perfectly still... I've also seen some shit really similar to this....

I'm trying to describe it in words... but it's futile. It doesn't look normal. And it is really strange to have lots of lightning for like 40 minutes, maybe 2 hours, and NO thunder and NO rain... or am I wrong about that? I would love if some climatologist came here and told me off. At least then I would know, and grow. Am I just a sheltered city kid?
THERE: I just looked it up "Electrical storms are composed of lightning and thunder, typically accompanied by heavy precipitation. Each storm forms in large cumulonimbus clouds (thunderheads) stretching one to five miles in diameter with a height of 25,000 feet.".
I thought an electrical storm might involve lack of precipitation, but NO. Take the time to download my time-lapse video and watch for yourself. It won't be uploaded on that site forever. I was merely using that site to transfer the file to a friend. Then I thought I'd show everybody.
There's some fucked up shit happening here. I've experienced storms much smaller than this which had much more rain. These clouds go up 25,000 feet and there's no rain? WTF?
