The Supernatural: Exploring Other Dimensions
October 7-11
Reality Sandwich invites you to a four-day journey with some of today’s top theorists and practitioners in the emergent field of inter-dimensional exploration. Our second RS Retreat features Graham Hancock, world-renowned author of "Supernatural" and "Fingerprints of the Gods," Daniel Pinchbeck, bestselling author of "2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl" and Evolver co-founder, and Lisa Renee a “quantum therapist” and psychic channel. Join us October 7-11, as we explore transformational terrain such as dimensional shifts, veiled realms accessed through altered states of consciousness, ancient myths and sacred sites, and intergalactic communication. It all takes place at a ranch located on 148 acres of breathtaking views overlooking the Grand Staircase-Escalante in south central Utah.
The retreat will include talks, workshops, petroglyph and pictograph explorations, slot canyon adventures, energetic self mastery, “galactivations," interactive sacred geometry, yoga, music, meditation, and more. Come connect and collaborate with the Reality Sandwich crew in an intimate gathering on ancient Anasazi land. Experience the community and engage in the conversation as we explore the mysteries and potentialities of other dimensions. Tickets are limited so grab them early.
About the Boulder Mountain Guest Ranch
The Boulder Mountain Guest Ranch is operated by two RS directors, who have held many amazing and successful retreats on site over the last year. The ranch is located on 148 acres of breathtaking views overlooking the Grand Staircase- Escalante. The property is surrounded by two million acres of Dixie National Forest giving you all the serenity and beauty the area has to offer. Hiking (to a waterfall), observing nature and exploring an indigenous ecosystem can be done right from the property or you can take advantage of the wonders of the surrounding area. Access to Boulder Mountain Swells (highest peak 11,328 ft.) and the famous Boulder Mountain Hells Backbone Bridge is just a few minutes away.
Boulder Mountain with a 50,000 acre summit makes up half of the Aquarius Plateau, a heavily forested area that descends upon slick rock, slot canyons and desert grottos. You can experience five of the planet's seven 'life zones' in a 15 mile decent to 4,800 ft. elevation, as well as the largest biomass on the planet (an Aspen grove). National Geographic ranked this area as the third healthiest ecosystem on Earth. The ranch is one mile from the Northeast border of the Escalante-Grand Staircase National Monument which consists of 1.9 million acres of waterfalls, slick rock, sandstone and slot canyons, unique rock formations, palentology and cliff terraces. Anasazi and Freemont Indian dwellings, petroglyphs and pictographs scatter this wonderland that is chock-full of adventure, pristine landscapes and abundant wildlife.

TESTIMONIALS FROM LAST RETREAT
"The retreat in Utah was an amazing opportunity to listen, hang, and generally probe several seminal psychedelic thinkers all while unplugging from the airwaves and intranet transmissions of our daily lives (there was nothing on the radio!). The land was beautiful, epic, and surprisingly potent. But the best aspect was the opportunity to practice what we preach and live in the Gift, soaking in each simple moment with ease, grace, and excitement in an environment of joyous support—the trip was truly a special opportunity in this eternal present we call life."
— Trevor
"I have to say, I am not the same since I came back from our R.S. retreat! I no longer feel like I am alone in the way I think about life on this planet. From first introductions at the reception, to in-depth inquiry into our purpose here on earth, there was a connection with every person at the retreat. It's good to know there are others out there committed to serving humanity, and we are doing it together, no matter where we reside. Thank you so much R.S. — together we are making a difference." — With much gratitude, Souci Pype
"I have gained a new perspective in the matters of our earth situation, and the mess we have made for ourselves, in not being involved in the choices made for us. Where there was fear, I now have hope for us all. You can count on me to be there! That was an amazing retreat!!"— Thank you so much, Jack Pyper
"Like many who showed up, I felt called to came to this retreat unsure of what would happen, but with a hunch that something magical would come of it... and it did! Connecting intimately with such inspiring thinkers on such gorgeous land got me inspired, fired up, and connected to a movement that I was able to take back home with me."— Regina
"I walked away wondering how I could get more involved in my community to make a positive impact and with many questions about just what "consciousness" is. I also realize I miss the connection within the group--people who understand on an energetic level what needs to be accomplished."— Kathy
"Being a fifty-something year old guy and pretty caught up in raising a family and making a living most of my life, I didn't know what to expect from the Toward 2012 Retreat at Boulder Mountain Guest Ranch. What I found there was much more than I hoped for. The participants, initially strangers to one another, quickly formed bonds of friendship and shared the various paths that had led them to the retreat. Daniel Pinchbeck, Charles Eisenstein, Jonathan Phillips and the entire Reality Sandwich crew could not have been more personable and were often available for one-on-one conversation. There was not one moment of negativity, not one. As I write this paragraph my heart longs for the experience of those four days. That is why if at all possible I will be returning to Boulder Mountain in October... Thank you Ron and Brandie for helping to create this opportunity for conscious growth and
change." — Alex

Elite retreat?
Reality Sandwich Fall Retreat
My, this is expensive, and would seem to be beyond the budgets of most of the vistors to the Reality Sandwich and Evolver.net websites.
Retreat Cost
I can understand the frustration that some of you feel with the cost of the retreat. We are also organizing Evolver Spores all over the US that cost little or nothing, and whatever other events we can do.
The fact of the matter is that we actually have to make some money as a business or we won't be able to keep publishing Reality Sandwich and running Evolver. Our first retreat was full but it was not exactly lucrative. It also took time to set up and caused interruptions of our work.
We could potentially do cheaper retreats and mini-conferences in other places that are easier to access. Somebody would have to step up to organize this, however.
If you really feel called to the retreat but can't afford it, please send an email with what you could offer, and we will see if we can work something out - no guarantees.
I also hope that next time we will be able to post videos of the talks etc.

Don't Forget Camping
I know for some this can be costly. That's also why we have a camping price of $550, which includes all the workshops, talks, activities and food. Of course it does cost money to get out there, but this place is beatiful and enchanting and well worth the effort it takes to get out there.
Seriously?
Interesting
"...we...HAVE to make some money..." (emphasis mine)
I agree in that it isn't that expensive.
Though it's still a little too much for some of us. More than we can afford. It sucks trying to do activism of any kind in a savagely capitalist world, isn't it? I know.
I live in Mexico. Are you ever coming down here? It would be very nice to have a workshop in this country. Love the work of all of you, RS people.

Full disclosure
Hey Daniel,
The reviews of last year's attendees was really inviting! Can you post a few of the comments you might have received from others, which would give a reasonable review of their level of disapointment with the event, for the sake of full disclosure?
Also, I followed the link to Revolver for tickets but the page displayed only photo's from past events and difficult-to-read scattered red text boxes on a black screen. Another link went directly to an empty Revolver page...
Is there a problem with the Evolver tickets page, or is it my browser (Explorer 8.0.6001.18702) ?

Thank you
Thank you Howling Woman for your personal and candid review; it was EXACTLY the kind of response I was hoping the sponsors of this seminar would have provided. (I’d assumed they would have received a review or two similar to yours and I’d hoped they would be forthcoming enough to provide a similar anecdote or two for the sake of balance)
I also appreciated the sensitive and balanced way in which you presented your personal experience. It will encourage some to join, and others to refrain, and I hope that the sponsors realize that it is in their best interest to have the majority of attendees in full expectation of what they hope to enjoy during their stay.
I'm also looking forward to an RS representative responding honestly to your post if he/she feels that it has been an unfair characterization.
I think it’s better for them, if this is going to be a recurring event, to maximize the number of happy customers than merely the number of bodies attending.
Ruby Slippers at the Retreat
I'm not sure we are saying this is 100 percent a spiritual retreat. Part of the fun of RS is that we have fun. I've been to plenty of yoga, Buddhist, etc, retreats and have sometimes felt constrained by the seriousness of them (although I can enjoy that too). But we're doing something different here, which perhaps is hard to find, and that may have been surprising to Howling Woman. I was surprised by her estimate of alcohol, given that we bought 37 bottles of wine in total (which were for our social mixer on the first night) and only 29 of them were consumed over the entire week (far from the 50 bottles a night she describes). Those who she said were working off the retreat were mostly the paid staff of the Boulder Mountain Ranch, who I found very friendly and helpful.
In our post-mortem of the retreat, RS editorial agreed that the food could have been more on the healthy side and we've already made changes for that to happen for this coming one -- more vegan/vegetarian options! This is a learning process and we always try to improve as we go along. Hey, we're going to make mistakes. If we weren't taking risks, you probably wouldn't be here enjoying this site and community with us.
But if you have questions of the intent of the retreat, please look at the schedule. We didn't book much "partying" in there as you'll see (not last time or for this one). We do have Saturday night for people to let loose and dance, but the evenings are primarily spent in a beautiful dome discussing and sharing ideas and our experiences.

so interesting
I found the comments here so fascinating.
Sometimes I get bothered by the exclusively up-classness of retreat cost but then again it is time for the rich to let go of money into a pool of good causes and this is a way to do so!
If you have money it's time to invest in the planet's evolution ;)
I would like to live in a world where the wealthy give freely without having to put large $$$$ on tickets....but it can be hard to just give some times{perhaps getting easier?} and buying a ticket is so much easier{I'm not rich{in money!} but I am speaking from experience of paying for festivals and events}
hello_im_alex makes an excellent point for low income tickets{scholorship}. Maybe you just need to offer a few. It's important that the classes mix and learn from eachother and the "hobo's perspective" has in it a wisdom as high as the kings! If the rich can learn from the poor a wealth of wisdom and a better world.
let the good times roll...
wow, before i was just sad i was going to miss this, now i am freakin' heartbroken...

Maybe have to do it differently somehow?
Well, Daniel, it is a good idea, but the moneyed people today are not yet into new ideas about the Sixth Sun, while the ones who are, cannot afford to go there unless they live locally.
Maybe have to do it differently somehow?
There should be an astronomical (solar) event on October 3-7, followed by another on October 23-27, as predicted at Wayland's Smithy on August 12 (just add 52-56 or 72-76 days).
I am hoping that upcoming events will change the general psyche of humanity, so that more of them will begin to appreciate other notions of reality, as will be discussed at your nice retreat. For now, however, most people are showing little interest, because they are so focussed on the acquisition of money or material things.
sounds lovely...maybe someday
About the retreat, it sounds enticing, but unworkable for me this time around.
About the reaction to the retreat and the money issues---I think RS is looking for a variety of ways to get the community involved and to get people together and this is just ONE of them.
Depending on one's budget and priorities, the retreat seems costly or a great bargain...or just right.
All of our situations are different, and to be honest, the RS folks have done many things for me (like this site and evolver.net) that don't cost a thing and have greatly improved my life, so I don't have any issue with them having these sorts of events where they might be able to make some money to keep their free things going (and maybe even more events and things in the future).
Ultimately, I trust the RS people to make good use of the money they'll make on this, so I'm not worried. My only negative emotion is jealousy---I want to go (too far from Japan and a busy time in my life)! Enjoy and cherish it everyone!
Come to the Supernatural, stay for Lady Evolver
