Reality Sandwich Fall Retreat

October 7-11

Reality Sandwich invites you to a four-day journey with some of today’s top theorists and practitioners in the emergent field of inter-dimensional exploration. Our second RS Retreat features Graham Hancock, world-renowned author of "Supernatural" and "Fingerprints of the Gods," Daniel Pinchbeck, bestselling author of "2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl" and Evolver co-founder, and Lisa Renee a “quantum therapist” and psychic channel. Join us October 7-11, as we explore transformational terrain such as dimensional shifts, veiled realms accessed through altered states of consciousness, ancient myths and sacred sites, and intergalactic communication. It all takes place at a ranch located on 148 acres of breathtaking views overlooking the Grand Staircase-Escalante in south central Utah.

The retreat will include talks, workshops, petroglyph and pictograph explorations, slot canyon adventures, energetic self mastery, “galactivations," interactive sacred geometry, yoga, music, meditation, and more. Come connect and collaborate with the Reality Sandwich crew in an intimate gathering on ancient Anasazi land. Experience the community and engage in the conversation as we explore the mysteries and potentialities of other dimensions. Tickets are limited so grab them early.

About the Boulder Mountain Guest Ranch
The Boulder Mountain Guest Ranch is operated by two RS directors, who have held many amazing and successful retreats on site over the last year.  The ranch is located on 148 acres of breathtaking views overlooking the Grand Staircase- Escalante. The property is surrounded by two million acres of Dixie National Forest giving you all the serenity and beauty the area has to offer. Hiking (to a waterfall), observing nature and exploring an indigenous ecosystem can be done right from the property or you can take advantage of the wonders of the surrounding area.  Access to Boulder Mountain Swells (highest peak 11,328 ft.) and the famous Boulder Mountain Hells Backbone Bridge is just a few minutes away.

Boulder Mountain with a 50,000 acre summit makes up half of the Aquarius Plateau, a heavily forested area that descends upon slick rock, slot canyons and desert grottos. You can experience five of the planet's seven 'life zones' in a 15 mile decent to 4,800 ft. elevation, as well as the largest biomass on the planet (an Aspen grove). National Geographic ranked this area as the third healthiest ecosystem on Earth.  The ranch is one mile from the Northeast border of the Escalante-Grand Staircase National Monument which consists of 1.9 million acres of waterfalls, slick rock, sandstone and slot canyons, unique rock formations, palentology and cliff terraces. Anasazi and Freemont Indian dwellings, petroglyphs and pictographs scatter this wonderland that is chock-full of adventure, pristine landscapes and abundant wildlife.

TESTIMONIALS FROM LAST RETREAT

"The retreat in Utah was an amazing opportunity to listen, hang, and generally probe several seminal psychedelic thinkers all while unplugging from the airwaves and intranet transmissions of our daily lives (there was nothing on the radio!). The land was beautiful, epic, and surprisingly potent. But the best aspect was the opportunity to practice what we preach and live in the Gift, soaking in each simple moment with ease, grace, and excitement in an environment of joyous support—the trip was truly a special opportunity in this eternal present we call life."
— Trevor

"I have to say, I am not the same since I came back from our R.S. retreat! I no longer feel like I am alone in the way I think about life on this planet. From first introductions at the reception, to in-depth inquiry into our purpose here on earth, there was a connection with every person at the retreat. It's good to know there are others out there committed to serving humanity, and we are doing it together, no matter where we reside. Thank you so much R.S. — together we are making a difference." — With much gratitude, Souci Pype

"I have gained a new perspective in the matters of our earth situation, and the mess we have made for ourselves, in not being involved in the choices made for us. Where there was fear, I now have hope for us all. You can count on me to be there! That was an amazing retreat!!"— Thank you so much, Jack Pyper

"Like many who showed up, I felt called to came to this retreat unsure of what would happen, but with a hunch that something magical would come of it... and it did! Connecting intimately with such inspiring thinkers on such gorgeous land got me inspired, fired up, and connected to a movement that I was able to take back home with me."— Regina

"I walked away wondering how I could get more involved in my community to make a positive impact and with many questions about just what "consciousness" is. I also realize I miss the connection within the group--people who understand on an energetic level what needs to be accomplished."— Kathy

"Being a fifty-something year old guy and pretty caught up in raising a family and making a living most of my life, I didn't know what to expect from the Toward 2012 Retreat at Boulder Mountain Guest Ranch. What I found there was much more than I hoped for. The participants, initially strangers to one another, quickly formed bonds of friendship and shared the various paths that had led them to the retreat. Daniel Pinchbeck, Charles Eisenstein, Jonathan Phillips and the entire Reality Sandwich crew could not have been more personable and were often available for one-on-one conversation. There was not one moment of negativity, not one. As I write this paragraph my heart longs for the experience of those four days. That is why if at all possible I will be returning to Boulder Mountain in October... Thank you Ron and Brandie for helping to create this opportunity for conscious growth and
change." — Alex

Hey sounds like fun!

Too bad I'm a totally broke and home/job-less! You guys will be missing out on this hobo's perspective, a ridiculously exciting and insightful perspective that is all too often overlooked and sometimes completely forgotten. I'm like a ghost! Maybe I'll sneak in! I'll just sleep in my hammock and eat the leftovers. Hopefully you won't snub me too much. See ya there!

Elite retreat?

Hi, and yes, I agree will "hello_im_alex" that this retreat is way too costly. It will take enough money to get to Utah for me. I cannot afford a thousand dollar retreat. Are folks on the ground even welcome? Are other dimensions exclusive?

Reality Sandwich Fall Retreat

My, this is expensive, and would seem to be beyond the budgets of most of the vistors to the Reality Sandwich and Evolver.net websites.

Retreat Cost

I can understand the frustration that some of you feel with the cost of the retreat. We are also organizing Evolver Spores all over the US that cost little or nothing, and whatever other events we can do.

The fact of the matter is that we actually have to make some money as a business or we won't be able to keep publishing Reality Sandwich and running Evolver. Our first retreat was full but it was not exactly lucrative. It also took time to set up and caused interruptions of our work.

We could potentially do cheaper retreats and mini-conferences in other places that are easier to access. Somebody would have to step up to organize this, however.

If you really feel called to the retreat but can't afford it, please send an email with what you could offer, and we will see if we can work something out - no guarantees.

I also hope that next time we will be able to post videos of the talks etc.

Don't Forget Camping

I know for some this can be costly.  That's also why we have a camping price of $550, which includes all the workshops, talks, activities and food.  Of course it does cost money to get out there, but this place is beatiful and enchanting and well worth the effort it takes to get out there.

Seriously?

$550 for a 5 day, all included trip in what sounds like a magical setting (with some fascinating people) doesn't seem over priced to me. Some of the other options do seem a bit steep, but I would be just fine in my comfortable tent / sleeping bag. I hope I can get the time off work to attend this.

Interesting

Funny how perspectives can vary. I read about this retreat and was surprised by how Very Affordable it was, and just booked my lodging. I can't think of a more valuable way to spend my small income.

"...we...HAVE to make some money..." (emphasis mine)

Really says it all, doesn't it?

I agree in that it isn't that expensive.

Though it's still a little too much for some of us. More than we can afford. It sucks trying to do activism of any kind in a savagely capitalist world, isn't it? I know.

I live in Mexico. Are you ever coming down here? It would be very nice to have a workshop in this country. Love the work of all of you, RS people.

the cost of life after 2012 is worth broadening your worldview

Living on the Navajo Reservation these past 12 years has allowed me to explore a rich culture of both NAC and Navajo beliefs. Delving into ones own conscious, finding both twisted and malicious intent surprising, I awaken to a dew covered sage and the smell... The reality of being able to see and speak with Pinchbeck and Hancock would be worth any amount of money... Peace

Looking to share a rental car and driving duties from Salt lake City...arriving from New York

ride share

I might be interested in sharing costs. I'm thinking of traveling on 10/6 and flying back 10/13 but I've yet to buy my ticket. What dates and time do you have? I'll be flying from either Manchester or Boston on Southwest. (live in Maine)

Ride Sharing

I am planning on flying in on the 6th to Las Vegas from Vancouver Canada.  Returning on the 13th or 14th from Las Vegas.

Camping.

Cedar Breaks overnight, with stop at Kodachrome State Park then retreat.

Am considering return to Las Vegas via Page, Az (south of Powell Lake) with overnight stop near Antelope Canyon.

Will rent a car and am willing to ride share.

Low-Income tickets?

How about for the next retreat you put aside a certain number of low-income tickets which would only be available to poor shmucks (like me) after filling out an application? This was the only way I could afford to go to Burning Man the past two years. I've earned and lived less than a thousand dollars this entire summer by choice. Does anyone else see the value in living this way?

Om Namah Shivaya!

It sounds like everyone is going to be tripping balls! Have fun! Warm Wishes. Dream big. Love unconditionally.

Full disclosure

Hey Daniel,

The reviews of last year's attendees was really inviting! Can you post a few of the comments you might have received from others, which would give a reasonable review of their level of disapointment with the event, for the sake of full disclosure?

Also, I followed the link to Revolver for tickets but the page displayed only photo's from past events and difficult-to-read scattered red text boxes on a black screen. Another link went directly to an empty Revolver page...

Is there a problem with the Evolver tickets page, or is it my browser (Explorer 8.0.6001.18702) ?

The First RS Retreat...an explorer's observations.

Namaste`; My husband and I attended the first RS Retreat at Boulder Mountain Ranch. The location is truly breathtaking, the raw nature and all of it's vibrations and power can be felt a hundred miles away...glorious. We met many wonderful people, listened to moving and interesting speakers, hiked and rode horseback, and all of that was really enjoyable. We stayed in our tent and it cost $450 per person to camp. We helped out in the kitchen and I cleared plates and debris at every meal as well as some others who paid for the retreat. There were some who were allowed there to "work" off their stay, and most of the time they couldn't be found, unless you looked down by the fire where all the heavy "partying" was going on. These guys are geniuses. They have devised a way to have a big party at a beautiful location and have the attendees paying for it. Excellent! My life has been spent on spiritual exploration. Of all the spiritual gatherings I have participated in, this was the only one where massive amounts of alcohol was consumed. I don't drink, and neither does my husband. It would behoove some of those searching for awakening to read what Terrence McKenna had to say about spirits in his book, "Food of the Gods" there is a reason they call it spirits. How can one be both awake and anesthetized at the same time? Drinking alcohol interferes with your spirit, your soul, and your body. If you are looking for a fantastic party...this is the place you want to be. We are also vegetarians, two of the 6 vegetarians there. This was also interesting to me when it uses up more of the Earth's natural resources to produce a pound of meat than to drive an SUV. It was not geared toward vegetarianism, or veganism, and this also surprised me for a spiritual retreat since your soul's vibration increases with a vegan/vegetarian diet. You move out of the lower astral realms and into the higher ones naturally. There were slim choices for this type of diet, I think we had grilled tofu 3 times, it was good, but so many more creative things can be done with it, and with vegetarian dishes. There were many pre-packaged chemical laden items including "diet" coke and tea. All hail to Donald Rumsfeld and his glorious and healthy "Nutrasweet" that bio weapon of mass destruction that so many enjoy. Thank the Divine I brought my own Caribou Coffee beans and my french press! Yes, I will admit to being a coffee snob, it's just that I like good, organically grown, fair trade coffee that tastes good and I know that some poor farmer isn't starving to death growing it for big corporations. I'm guessing the extra $100 dollars for camping is for the 50+ bottles of wine consumed every night. Coming from a former Hotel/Restaurant/Bar background, they could have made money if they hadn't given away the alcohol, let those who wish to partake pay for their drinks, have a bartender, it is a lodge. I've seen father's of the bride almost faint when presented with the bill for a two hour open bar at a wedding reception, let alone opening the spigot all night long. Please understand; everyone was warm and friendly, the speakers, anywhere else would cost almost as much. They take good care of everyone. Brandie gave me four extra blankets because I wasn't prepared for Alpine Desert, they are great hosts. The hiking guides are terrific..especially Paul, the horse stable folks are wonderful too, and the beauty really is unmatchable. It was a good time, but one I would think twice about paying for again. Will we truly make a difference if we ourselves do not do what we expect others to do? Is building a successful community done over many bottles of wine and steaks? 25% of the Rain Forest is devoted to growing grain to feed animals that will not feed 1% of its population. Wake up, sleeping activists, there are no ruby slippers on your feet, and you are not in Kansas anymore. This is OZ and the man behind the curtain is controlling everything, and he's not a friendly leprechaun. He is a dark, menacing demon that grips you while you slumber...dreaming of pixies, meadows and sweetness. This is my reality sandwich.

Thank you

Thank you Howling Woman for your personal and candid review; it was EXACTLY the kind of response I was hoping the sponsors of this seminar would have provided. (I’d assumed they would have received a review or two similar to yours and I’d hoped they would be forthcoming enough to provide a similar anecdote or two for the sake of balance)

I also appreciated the sensitive and balanced way in which you presented your personal experience. It will encourage some to join, and others to refrain, and I hope that the sponsors realize that it is in their best interest to have the majority of attendees in full expectation of what they hope to enjoy during their stay.

I'm also looking forward to an RS representative responding honestly to your post if he/she feels that it has been an unfair characterization.

I think it’s better for them, if this is going to be a recurring event, to maximize the number of happy customers than merely the number of bodies attending.

Ruby Slippers at the Retreat

I'm not sure we are saying this is 100 percent a spiritual retreat. Part of the fun of RS is that we have fun. I've been to plenty of yoga, Buddhist, etc, retreats and have sometimes felt constrained by the seriousness of them (although I can enjoy that too). But we're doing something different here, which perhaps is hard to find, and that may have been surprising to Howling Woman. I was surprised by her estimate of alcohol, given that we bought 37 bottles of wine in total (which were for our social mixer on the first night) and only 29 of them were consumed over the entire week (far from the 50 bottles a night she describes). Those who she said were working off the retreat were mostly the paid staff of the Boulder Mountain Ranch, who I found very friendly and helpful.

In our post-mortem of the retreat, RS editorial agreed that the food could have been more on the healthy side and we've already made changes for that to happen for this coming one -- more vegan/vegetarian options! This is a learning process and we always try to improve as we go along. Hey, we're going to make mistakes. If we weren't taking risks, you probably wouldn't be here enjoying this site and community with us.

But if you have questions of the intent of the retreat, please look at the schedule. We didn't book much "partying" in there as you'll see (not last time or for this one). We do have Saturday night for people to let loose and dance, but the evenings are primarily spent in a beautiful dome discussing and sharing ideas and our experiences.

Basing the consumption on private conversation w/director

I'm glad to see the response. It's also nice to know that the menu is being revised. My estimate on the alcohol consumption came from private conversations with one of your other directors. Who told me that they were going through 5-6 cases of wine per night. Perhaps they are 6 bottle cases and in that case(no pun intended) the estimate is "off" on my part. I was going from a 12 bottle case. Remember; I didn't say it wasn't fun. It was just such a difference, as Jonathan pointed out, from any other "spiritual" gathering I had ever attended. Yes, they do not say it is a "spiritual" retreat, and that was my own expectation not their claim. Yes, everybody learns from every event that they organize or attend and all of life is a process. One other comment; I was slammed by (he knows who he is)in a workshop of my personal knowledge of crystalline chakra structures and changing DNA, which are my perceptions and those of others that I have read which, like all perceptions should at least be respected and not ridiculed. The most fascinating part of this is that one of the speakers scheduled for this event has come back from the 5th dimension with a rod attached to their arm to be used for quantum adjustments. I respect anyone having the courage to talk about this subject matter. Apparently their ideas have not been ridiculed, and this just proves that people are evolving, changing and opening their mind to new concepts and perceptions. That these people do have open minds and are willing to look further and hopefully if for example;someone at this next retreat brings up that Barack Obama is the clone of the Pharoh Akhenaton, they will not be shut down. All possibilities need to be explored, and this line up of speakers looks to be the group that can do just that. Google "The Freeman Perspective" if you are already curious about the cloning of Akhenaton. Don't want to leave any readers without some fun stuff to bring up at this retreat! Especially if you do your home work and read the bios of all the speakers you will know which one is especially fond of the Pharoh Akhenaton. Now, hopefully this will generate even more enthusiasm, and people will take the time to do some research. Knowledge is power my friends. Whoever does go will have an eye opening experience I'm sure, and if you get to explore other dimensions...you should definitely do it...it is awesome. After all of these posts I looked into coming for this one too, but not all Arcturians and Andromedans have managed to put aside their differences. Again, if you read bios you will know what I'm talking about, Andromedans are a progessive group from the Pleides and Arcturians are noted to be a regressive group from Sirius B. Do your homework...dear ones..the life of the planet depends on all of us waking up! Namaste`

Ride share

I'll be flying in and out of Las Vegas if there is anyone who would like to share expenses. I've got a rental car reserved.

so interesting

I found the comments here so fascinating.

Sometimes I get bothered by the exclusively up-classness of retreat cost but then again it is time for the rich to let go of money into a pool of good causes and this is a way to do so!

If you have money it's time to invest in the planet's evolution ;)

I would like to live in a world where the wealthy give freely without having to put large $$$$ on tickets....but it can be hard to just give some times{perhaps getting easier?} and buying a ticket is so much easier{I'm not rich{in money!} but I am speaking from experience of paying for festivals and events}

hello_im_alex makes an excellent point for low income tickets{scholorship}. Maybe you just need to offer a few.  It's important that the classes mix and learn from eachother and the "hobo's perspective" has in it a wisdom as high as the kings! If the rich can learn from the poor a wealth of wisdom and a better world.

let the good times roll...

wow, before i was just sad i was going to miss this, now i am freakin' heartbroken...

(unless it is getting your passport renewed in under 6 weeks...)

Maybe have to do it differently somehow?

Well, Daniel, it is a good idea, but the moneyed people today are not yet into new ideas about the Sixth Sun, while the ones who are, cannot afford to go there unless they live locally.

Maybe have to do it differently somehow?

There should be an astronomical (solar) event on October 3-7, followed by another on October 23-27, as predicted at Wayland's Smithy on August 12 (just add 52-56 or 72-76 days).

I am hoping that upcoming events will change the general psyche of humanity, so that more of them will begin to appreciate other notions of reality, as will be discussed at your nice retreat. For now, however, most people are showing little interest, because they are so focussed on the acquisition of money or material things.

Come to the Supernatural, stay for Lady Evolver

For those of you women attending the Reality Sandwich retreat, I hope you consider staying on for the subsequent Evolver women's retreat which will be held at the ranch the following week! Details here:http://evolverretreats.com/ladyEvolver/

sometimes for whatever reason it just doesn't happen...

unfortunately, this just is not going to happen for me at this time... totally wish i was going to be there........ any chance of holding another?

Supernatural Retreat aka Lovefest

My husband and I attended the Supernatural Retreat. It was a lot of money for us but we followed a clear intuitive message to attend because we were going to make the connections towards our ultimate goal of participating in intentional community. We were intrigued with Lisa Renee, if not skeptical, but resonance is everything and it was quite an experience of love and light to be in her presence as well as that of several of her clients who attended. The aura quickly took on that of a Love Fest as everyone- attendees and staff, was polite, caring, respectful, interesting and from all walks of life and ages. And the food was excellent and well thought out. Graham and Santha Hancock were friendly and approachable. And Daniel was late. He had sent out a personal e-mail with an explanation regarding the screening/mass media event in Jackson Hole that he had been invited to as a “2012 expert.” All things being “meant to be” I actually feel that his absence facilitated something else to emerge at the Retreat. I believe he felt it when he walked into the Dome. Could the venue be improved? Yes. But it was I that followed my instincts there and I feel blessed that I did because I did not just connect with the attendees as new friends but as soul family. This is one of the important ideas behind why Reality Sandwich exists in the first place. They want us to connect and create new venues to make the change we all desire. Their hearts are in the right place, they just don’t have everything aligned. So my final thought-if they need cash flow and have 70,000 readers then why don’t they add a donation button to the site, or request donations, and we can all donate a dollar toward our cause. Let us all intend that every one of the Reality Sandwich supporters can attend a retreat for free or trade because we are all finally on the other side of the mass conscious consumer enslavement reality.
