Squaring the Circle

Kal Cobalt

In late July, a startlingly large crop formation was discovered near Wayland Smithy. The formation contains more circles than any discovered in the past seven years -- 73 main circles and 168 "grapeshot." The 241 circles form an unusually square formation which lends itself to a number of interpretations.

The Mayan interpretation in particular seems quite strong, leading mathematic researcher Chris Thomson to request "anyone with knowledge in this field to take my findings and try to relate them to the Maya and their mythology and mathematics."

Thomson's initial findings can be found in Crop Circle Connector's coverage (under "comments").

Could be atoms or subatomic particles

I'd dearly love to know if this arrangement of circles can be interpreted as a collection of atoms forming some kind of important molecule - or perhaps it's electrons, protons, neutrons, etc. - which would still amount to a multi-atomic (molecular) arrangement of some kind.

I'd also dearly love to know if any of the circle-fakers have been able to duplicate the inter-weaving patterns, weaves going one way on top of weaves going another way, bending without breaking, heat nodes etc.

2008 looks like a good season so far

I've been having weird dreams. In late July I had a dream that was so bizarre I can't describe it, incredible patterns and symbols flashing across the sky...and at the end they all came together to form a mandala and a mask. I got a very strong Mayan impression, and there was a voice. I wonder if it was around the same time this circle was made?

the circle squared

notice that there are no just round pyramids, we are thinking in dimensions, and shifts, and symbols. If we happen to notice at any given moment, that the circle is squared, or the numbers all add up.

how to make a crop circle

According to a somewhat belligerant circlemake, they are all made by people, and this is how.

hmm

The frustrating thing about this guy is that he actually is presenting some reasonable information, albeit in an extremely abrasive manner. I remain wholly unconvinced that all formations can be explained via his method (for all the various reasons explored previously on RS), but he's got some fair points here.

I just wish that some people would understand that being belligerant isn't exactly the best way to win people over. That was very unpleasant to watch.

Shit vs Shinola

Fortunately, as I wrote on the DMT thread when discussing objective vs. subjective "experiences," one CAN tell the *difference* between shit and shinola, as Terance McKenna so eloquently put it some time ago.

If the hoaxer in the video were to be correct - not to say HIS crop formations are indeed FAKE and not made by supernatural means, just like there are others methinks that are really supernatural - then according to his logic, and as someone else pointed out on another website:

"I
f these crop formation instances weren’t genuine, then, following that logic there are hundreds of people involved including land surveyors, aerial observers (such as balloonists or microlite pilots), site organizers, logistics experts, vehicle operators and supports people. Plus LOTS of time to engage in this. All with the collusion of the farmers who are in on the hoax and who let the pranksters use their property to perpetrate the fraud on the public and the world."

Hmm. There are really none more blind (and deluded) than those who REFUSE to see.

Imagine though theTYPE of person one would have to BE to engaged in such a HOAX (making fake crop circles) and then claiming that supernatural phenomena (responsible for the real complex and intelligent designs) is not real! Wow. What a sorry ass "human" being this is...

I am SURE this guy, if not a cointelpro agent, the he MUST be an Organic Portal.(No and's, if's, or but's in this instance fer sure). I mean, if it quacks like a duck, and walks like a duck, I can assure you it ain't no elephant...

"And because they cannot experience them, they deny their existence for everyone, including for those who are capable of “seeing” what the Organic Portal is incapable of seeing. In a materialistic world, where Organic Portals are in their Natural Element, and Souled Beings are NOT, with Organic Portal science drawing the boundary between what is true and what is false, there is no place for the Higher realms. It is “false” compared with the self-evident “truth” of materialism as experienced at all levels by the OP.

The Organic Portal in his role of scientists is bound to come to a materialistic explanation for the workings of the universe because that is all they know and are able to see.

This is very clear when we look at the question of consciousness itself. The answers are very revealing.

“The Greatest Enemy of Knowledge is Not Ignorance. It is the ILLUSION of Knowledge.” - Stephen Hawking

For Daniel

Here is a series of interviews with known circle-makers. As you will see, they are just as baffled as anyone else. The line between "hoax" and "genuine" is blurred. part 1: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-113360734554500603&ei=iFOcSJrrM... part2: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=183065277124868587&ei=iFOcSJrrMo... Many circlemakers are interviewed. Watch for commonalities in their testimonies.

well i guess that explains

how people see lights one moment, and then suddenly a crop circle appears the next, it's all done by shaved headed blokes a great knowledge of geometric shapes and a great sense of timing with Bob t-shirts, well at least they believe in BOB, hmmm, i wonder why they don't make a BOB circle? i wonder in all the foot stomping how they never break a stalk?

how to make a circle, really

Yes, a great season for cereal art. I have just finished reading Secrets in the Fields a comprehensive, well researched and illustrated book by Freddy Silva on the crop circle phenomena. Silva has been studying and chasing crop circles since 1990 and maintains a home in Wiltshire County. He goes into great detail and depth to analyze the complex geometric patterns, clearly pointing out the differences between the circle makers and the circle fakers, or better said, the masters and the students.

One copyright feature of the Circlemakers is the anomalous bend that causes plants to do what they do. It has never been replicated by people...Other than the bend in the stems and the shape in the crop itself, the circle making force leaves behind no visible imprint. This force is capable of incising pictograms containing over a thousand elements covering 150,000 square feet and with such unerring accuracy that "curtains" of wheat one stalk wide are sometimes all that separate one circle form another."

One of the more interesting discoveries is the relationship found in "unhoaxed" forms to sound, the geometric ratios in many circles correspond to the ratios in the diatonic scale. And the higher the frequency the more complex the pattern. Are crop circles really music in physical form?

What I find amusing in the videos linked above are that the human circle makers remind me of graffiti artists with their attitude and machismo. Like urban scrawlers they are responding to the "high art culture" of their environment and making it their own: crop circles as rural graffiti. And the crop-art world politics of Wiltshire with its intergenerational rivalries, ain't that different from the art world politics some of us know and love/hate. ;-)

I think all of us here

Presume some circles are fake, some are made by things that we do not know. But here is a "crop circle" that came to my head after reading Pinchbeck's book 2012. Don't know how it came to but it did and I spent over a week, 2 hours a day drawing it freehand. Its a large square, with a circle inside of it, with circles covering every empty bit of space, with a square inside the circle, and it keeps doing the same thing spiraling in to the center.

Another block

Potentially an imporant topic for deeper discussion, but at least one refers to something not everyone can see. So, without an ability to 'watch' or view video, comment becomes relegated to other comments.

Fine. I'm very much impressed by the drawing by sampmusical's 'drawing'. I'm also thinking that Daniel's comment here might have been intentionally 'sarcastic' and perhaps intended to convey 'as if!'

Again. I don't know, and can't know with the equipment I have.

I do know a little about geometry and the difficulties involved in producing pattern from just use of a straight-edge and a compass.

C'mon people! There are professionals out there who make a living just telling property-owners how to know a right-angle from a property-line screw in their side-walk! The deviation can mean huge differences between one party and another in civil courts and that thing called 'immenant domain' or 'ownership based on use'.

What I find amazing about these patterns is that assumption that some professionals or simply talented individuals in geometry would devote time away from more profitable adventures just to make us think 'aliens' are out and about.

It is much more likely that these things are part of a kind of disinformation campaign by people with too much money being wasted on them. And that is entirely a matter of political control.

Yet, I grant it possible that at least one of these patterns is really a manifestation from 'yonder' worlds, and I even have doubts about that: the 'yantra' in Eastern Oregon. Possibly 'channeled',possibly made by ambitious pranksters born right here on earth. Yet from people I've talked to: difficult to do with the stoney earth in which it is scratched. Also: the least discussed 'circle', 'square' and 'triangle' made thus far. The substrate is hard-pan, not wheat. Observed first by the National Guard, and no 'track' to the phenomenon was seen. This 'circle' is the least commented upon, and yet poses greater questions. I was impressed.

We once saw footage provided by 'Sightings', produced by "Fonzi" from "Happy Days", that showed lights floating over a field and an instantaneous development of 'circles'. And after that: nothing. That, alone, is odd.

Information appears and disappears on the internet. But some of us have memory that includes sources more lasting: people. And some of them wont talk in this 'medium'. Why? Too liable to extraneous editing. To liable to being made into a lie. I'm not even sure what I write here will be con

spinning out

Somewhere, I remember seeing a photo of a crop circle rotating or spinning . The moment I saw this pattern I thought "what would it look like spinning ?Does anyone have the ability to show us that ? MAXD I'm not completely insane ,parts of me are still missing!
