Spectacular Sugar Hill Formation

RS Sugar Hill Steve Alexander large.jpg

Combining hexagons, hexagrams and cubes, the 300-foot Sugar Hill formation is a stunning piece of geometric artistry. It is the latest of several formations that seem to create 3-D imagery.

Two days after its initial discovery, Chet Snow visited the formation and was particularly taken by "the 'fluffy' character of how the wheat was laid down; the beautiful small swirled circles within some of the triangles and the multi-layering of the wheat at certain of the intersections plus the very thin, very straight lines that from the air give the 'cubic' 3-D aspect to the inner square/cubes of standing crop." Other formation visitors have noted odd aerial phenomena and physical changes while in the circle. Crop Circle Connector has uploaded an impressive gallery of aerial and ground shots of this formation.

Four days after the Sugar Hill discovery, a formation at Pewsey White Horse was discovered that seems to hold to a similar design sensibility as the one at Sugar Hill.

There are only a few weeks left of the crop circle "season." Most fields will be harvested by the end of the month.
