THE ELECTRIC JESUS Workshop & Meditation with Jonathan Phillips
Uncover the mysteries of the universe through a deeper understanding of Jesus' yogic teachings and how they relate to the cosmic force we call energy. Learn about lost sacred scrolls, Jesus' hidden history, alchemical symbols, visionary science, and the human energy field. Overcome 2,000 years of bad translations to see how Jesus was a master "soter" (translated as savior, but meaning "one who makes whole") who utilized the lessons of karma, compassion, energetic healing, and spiritual allegory to bring light to our own journey home. In this workshop, we will use ancient meditation techniques of the Gnostics to awaken our own divine spark, allowing each of us to experience a greater sense of health, happiness, and universal compassion, while considering new possibilities for a mass global transformation of consciousness. Jonathan Phillips is a Reiki Master Practitioner and Founder of the NYC Gnostics. He is the Community Director of Reality Sandwich and Executive Editor of Souldish.com

Daylong Meditation Retreat "Just Sit!" with ID Project Founder Ethan Nichtern
Join us for our first daylong meditation in a while. How much do we really understand about the mechanics of meditation? This day will focus on deepening our understanding of mindfulness meditation practice. How much do we understand about the obstacles that come up in practice, and the subtleties of awareness? How do we explore mindfulness on a deeper level, in practice and in regular life? The day will include guided sitting and walking meditation, talks, and two short yoga practices, and plenty of discussion for gaining a better understanding of the nuances of practice.

Write Action - Writers Group led by Cassie Peterson
We will begin with Sitting Meditation The Interdependence Project Writing Group aspires to exist as a bridge between our meditation and writing practices. Our methodology is to just keep the pen moving -- a conscious engagement with writing, simply and beautifully, as process. Practice teaches us to separate creator from editor and allows us to explore the raw, fecund nature our first thoughts and spontaneity without judgment or expectation. Additionally, like meditation, our personal writing practice can serve as another means to explore our minds in an authentic, in-the-moment kind of way. Our meetings will serve as a supportive forum for writers and meditators to explore their personal creative processes, together. Our monthly, three-hour sessions will include sitting meditation, a variety of timed writing prompts and exercises, sharing our work. The second half of each monthly session will consist of a more formal critique of ongoing work that people desire feedback on. Drop-ins are welcome, though ongoing attendance is encouraged. All levels/kinds of writing, experience, form, and genre are welcome. People brand-new to meditation also welcome!

Awakening Your True Voice
This course creates a supportive environment in which self-consciousness will dissolve and the natural voice will emerge. To encourage vocal growth and development, a repertoire of exercises is given that will increase mental and physical awareness, improve body alignment and stimulate natural, reflexive breathing. We will also work on opening the channel for sound vibrations, resonance and range. Group singing of folk songs and spirituals helps participants to express themselves with sensitivity.
