“Kanyini” - The ‘Stolen Generation’
This is a very special film that I highly recommend. The film was written and narrated by Uncle Bob Randall Tjilpi elder of the Yankunytjatjara Aboriginal Nation. The evening will begin with an Anangu welcome song and feature the film Kanyini, followed by audience dialogue. Plot Synopsis: This documentary is based on the remarkable life and philosophy of Bob Randall, an elder of the Yankunytjatjara people of Uluru in Central Australia. It explores his idyllic early life, shattered when he is taken from his family as one of the ‘Stolen Generation’, and his journey since then. ‘Uncle Bob’ also explores the reasons for the tragic problems in many Australian Aboriginal communities today. While there is sadness and desperation, the film finishes with a sense of hope. Archival footage from the very early days of white contact with indigenous peoples is skilfully interwoven into the film. Written by John Haberecht, IMDB.com

Be True Love by Jordan Schachter
“Be True Love” combines Social Theory of Spiral Dynamics with spirituality in order to provide a blue print to a “Post Green” Mindset. It is the first play to feature philosopher Ken Wilber as a character, or combine Chakras with stages of cultural development. In addition to the potluck there will be food for sale. This is the first ever public reading of this play which may tour with the Green Bus and be performed at colleges nationwide. A book of the play, which includes a in-depth essay exploring why we exist, will also be sold. It will be a fascinating evening full of wild ideas that will fundamentally change your life. Opening Meditation and a short discussion following the reading. All are welcome,
