Song of Saul-omon

Saul Williams teams up with Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor for the release of The Inevitable Rise and Liberation of Niggy Tardust, a heavy weight, thunder and lightening sound calling forth the spirits of Public Enemy, Nine Inch Nails, Old Dirty Bastard and Radiohead while running the apocalyptic spaceways laced and graced with the crystal incisions of Saul's words.
Saul Williams explains "The Niggytardust concept sets me free to do more on stage with costume, etc. than one might expect from a regular Saul Williams show. It allows me to put my theatre training to use. I’ve also thought long and hard about all the discussion surrounding racial epithets etc. and chose this title as a means of furthering the dialogue while also showing how creativity will outlive and outshine hatred of any kind"
"The wall of sound that we've created is tagged with such graffiti that a passerby would seek out doors and ways to ENTER. Once inside a world defined by dreams come true they'd find aligned with the simplest act of sharing what we treasure.
The ballot or the bullet for Mohawk or the mullet is a choice between new times and dying days. And the only way to choose is to jump ship from old truths and trust dolphins as we swim through changing ways."
The album can be downloaded for free or you can pay, you choose.

New Distribution Model
This method of distributing music is the future. A lot of us had thought of doing it, but now that Radiohead and Saul have gone ahead and cut the middle-men record companies out of the loop successfully... I think even more artists will be inspired to do so. Look for recording artists to let their contracts lapse and get into the direct to fan DIY method.
What Saul and Radiohead have proven is that an artist who has name recognition doesn't need a label at all. And, even more revolutionary... that they will actually make more money giving the product away to those who can't or wouldn't pay because those who do pay will be giving you the money directly. (whereas the labels gave the artist from 5-10%)
No manufacturing costs, no shipping costs, and no warehousing of product... pure profit. And, because the consumer is used to paying double the wholesale price, the whole thing seems super reasonable. Saul's model is actually better than Radiohead's... you can get the tracks in lossless FLAC if you make a donation, but even the free mp3s are high quality (192kbs I believe)
Saul is a poet of extraordinary ability. Support this man, and go download his album right now. Even if you just leech it for free, turn your friends on to it. This is the future. Not that iTunes rip off crap.
Direct from the artists! Viva la revolución!
