In this week’s sex roundup, we take a look at Evangelicals who enjoy ecstatic orgasms, the proliferation of teen sexting, and why liberal men have such a hard time with abortion.

Better late than pregnant (well, if you read the link below that is). Judith Levine’s brilliant piece on teen sexting. What’s worse than predatory adults? How about other viscous teenagers. (The American Prospect)

In Kansas you can’t read about The Joy of Sex or The Joy of Gay Sex until you're at least 18 - because if you find joy in sex before you’re 18, then what? Marty Klein makes me laugh with his 10 reasons to support this absurd book ban. (The Legal Satyricon)

The abortion article...

Disgusted me. It's not that I want to take away the right (it'll just get done in some half sanitary backroom anyways, won't it?) but rather the cavalier, almost bragging way the author prattled on about it that made me unable to get through the words after the first page. Why do liberal men get uncomfortable about it? Perhaps because being liberal doesn't mean you have to be comfortable with a by nature discomforting subject. If you choose to get an abortion, it should be treated in a sacred manner, and as a true sacrifice of meaning, rather than the "oops! good thing I can get out and hit the bar next week" soap that is so common today. Sheesh.

Fantastic, as always!

Ms. Waxman, It is always a pleasure; I look forward to this post every week.

Re: the American Prospect article. My father is a (brilliant and masterly{don't let the stereotype fool you}) public defender, and a judge, and, strangely, a family friend, recently ruled that a ten year old boy, who touched his step or adopted three year old sister's vagina, will be registered a sex offender for the next ten years, and will spend the next few years in whatever draconian lockup this country likes to put our un-, mis-, and disinformed offending children.
