The Serpent King

serpent_art.jpg

Throughout history snakes have enthralled the human psyche, slithering their way into many of our myths and securing paramount positions within them. Sure to add to this rich lore is the recent finding of a 60-million-year-old fossil belonging to a behemoth snake newly named Titanoboa cerrejonesis. The fossils were found in a Colombian coal mine in the northeastern tropics. Their size indicates that their legless owner was at least 42 feet long and weighed over 2 tons (which makes it longer than a city bus and heavier than a car), and would have rivaled your hips in height at its widest girth. Hans-Dieter Sues of the Smithsonian's National Museum of Natural History explains that death in the snake's grips would be similar to being in "one of those devices they use to crush old cars in a junkyard."

It should be noted that the world's largest known snake wasn't resting alone—the same coal mine held the remains of gigantic turtles and crocodiles. The very existence of these enormous reptiles has serious implications for current theories regarding planetary climate change and global warming. Some environmental scientists hypothesize that during Earth's warming periods, tropical environments do not change in temperature, and stay close to what they are today. But for cold-blooded reptiles to grow to such monstrous proportions the tropical environment would have had to maintain a high mean annual temperature of around 90 degrees Fahrenheit—far higher than today. This opens a new theory that indicates the tropics are not immune to global warming. The result of which suggests that perhaps, one day, legend will have it that magnificent serpents returned to the Earth.

A Convenient Lie

One wonders if any of the snakes were related to Al Gore and his Illuminati brethren. Being obese and speaking with a forked tongue would be a clue.

" When  lies pay better than truth, expect lies."

Well said!

One certainly must wonder who stands to benefit from maintaining the sinister illusion of global warming. Maybe the illuminist plutocrats just want to get the Earth acclimated to their cold-blooded lifestyle.

I believe it was the Club of Rome, under Aurelio Peccei, who suggested the idea of utilizing global warming as an external threat to encourage people to accept one-world totalitarian governance. The funny part is how they plan to have the working class convinced that they are the ones to blame for the climate shift, while they are only the grease on the gears of the demonic industrialist machine responsible for poisoning our planet.

If increased solar

activity is what it takes for more clueless humans to get a clue and curb the defilement and pollution of our planetary ecosystem, so be it.

The ancients used to say: Mundus vult decipi, ergo decipiatur -- The world wants to be deceived, so let it be deceived. - Stanislaw Lem

Yeah Right

Yes lies and deception is a good route towards truth. "The world wants to be deceived, so let it be deceived. - Stanislaw Lem"  Your quote sounds more like Hitler, a co-religionist of your hero Gore.

"Falsehood is easy, truth so difficult."  George Eliot

conspiracy????

Global warming a conspiracy? What? Evidence? More external control fantasies?

Do your own research

Look at both sides of the issue. Climate shift does appear to be happening, but global temperatures have been on a cooling slope for the last 10,000 years, and have maintained the same average temperature for the entirety of industrial civilization. This has been verified by deep core ice samples taken in Greenland and Antarctica. Increased solar activity has been raising the temperatures of all other planets in our solar system. Funny how human-produced greenhouse gases have made it to Mars and Pluto, right?

Our current trend towards short-term gain for long-term loss has undoubtedly damaged our environment, but the idea that human-produced CO2 emissions have drastically altered the planet permanently for the worse in the past historical blink of an eye is a bit arrogant, I think.

What should be of much greater concern of most people is chemical pollution and toxic compounds being pumped into foods. Flouridated water, aspartame, industrial waste and mercury pollution should be the center of any environmentalist's focus, not some bogus issue blown out of proportion by mainstream media and corporocrat politicians. "Global warming" is part of a much larger scheme of ecological holocaust which will be used by the elite to force their slaves to give up the rest of their rights.

You're worried about fluoridation?

A foreign substance is introduced into our precious bodily fluids without the knowledge of the individual? Do you feel a loss of essence?

Enjoy life as your brain calcifies!

Seriously, how do you even begin to support something as transparently dubious as water flouridation?

Almost every western European nation has rejected fluoridating their water, and their teeth are just fine. Sodium flouride is the only active ingredient in rat poison, as it is one of the most toxic ionic compounds known. Fluoride has been linked to lower IQs in children and causes the pineal gland in the center of your brain to calcify.

But seeing as it's all in the name of the possible chance of maybe making our teeth more better, it's ok, right?

better toss your toothpaste, too.

You can't even quote your own evidence right. The pineal gland is a naturally calcifying gland. Fluorine is found in high concentrations in that calcification for people who have fluorine in their water. At no time does the Luke thesis state or imply that calcification is caused by the fluorine.

Sounds like you should lay off the grain alcohol and rainwater.

All important

I agree that all those issues are important. This is why I prefer to say "global change" as opposed to climate change. I think the remedies for climate change should be good for civilization, regardless of the cause. For example, alternative energy by nature (no pun intended) is decentralized. There is no way around that (as far as I know). I could go on. Clearly business as usual won't do. Thanks!
