Sculpting the Future

futureL.jpg

Sculptor John Broderick Heron utilizes "architectural healing" in his vision of the future earth.  From rising eco towers to imaginary islands made of tires to small gardens hoisted in the sky, Heron repurposes household materials and "junk" items to fashion a strange, yet familiar new world. Check out his website and archive for inspiration and original works.

in the woods

This is great! When I go for hikes or just get some 'woods time' I often make things like this wherever I choose to rest. Kindof like a sculpture for the Great Mom, using whatever is within reach, or what I've found along the path - feathers, rocks, moss, and curvy wood are a few of my faves.
