"Until you offer some practical ideas about how the transition will work, much of this is an intellectual exercise. Invigorating, thought-provoking, but of limited utilitarian value to the 6 billion other people who don't have the time, resources, or inclination to consider these ideas. Beyond "time for change," it's also time to be pragmatic, or these ideas are only going to appeal to a New Age minority. These ideas are transformative and inspiring, but that's only half the equation."

Over the last few months, I've been working on the release strategy for 2012 Time for Change, our documentary, with director Joao Amorim, producer Giancarlo Canavesio and the staff at Mangusta Films. This has been a great learning process for us, and it is still underway. The transformation of media that began with the launch of 'Web2.0' a number of years ago has continued, and is accelerating. At the same time, the old mechanisms for distributing and marketing independent films have broken down.

I am pleased to announce that we are holding the premiere screenings of our documentary 2012: Time for Change, in San Francisco during SF Greenfest. I am featured as interviewer and narrator, in dialogues with Sting, David Lynch, Paul Stamets, Barbara Marx Hubbard, Ellen Page (star of Juno), Gilberto Gil, and many others. The film is a co-production of Mangusta and Curious Pictures. Joao Amorim directed the film and created wonderful animations for the project.
