Quantum Youth Activism

QuantumShift TV presents a youth activism video challenge called “Be the Change! Share the Story!”, collecting videos of young people in grades 1-12 in the U.S. and Canada. The focus of the projects will be on social or environmental issues that are important to the community and the kids. Contestants will submit two videos: one describing their intentions for the project, and one showing how they completed their goals.
QuantumShift TV is offering $50,000 value awards and prizes which will be given to the schools of the top team winners in each of the three age groups of the contest. A panel of socially conscious celebrity judges like Bioneer Paul Hawken, social justice advocate Van Jones, pro-skater Bob Burnquist, and author Lynne Twist will decide the winners.
Inspired by the immense popularity of Internet video sites like YouTube, Quantum Shift CEO Hugo Bonjean launched QuantumShift.tv as a video platform for activist projects. Gathering partnerships from organizations like UNICEF, Free the Children, Care and the Sierra Youth Coalition & Plan, the “Be the Change! Share the Story!” challenge seeks to inspire children to start thinking critically about the importance of activism, and their own potential impact in the world.
