Andy Warren

Ola Podcast Alembic Readers/Listeners,

Thank you for your recent suggestions. Here are a few special podcasts to point you to before the next substantial roundup.

"KMO welcomes author and regular Reality Sandwich contributor Charles Eisenstein to the program to discus the ideas in his book The Ascent of Humanity: The Age of Separation, the Age of Reunion... and the Convergence of Crises that is birthing the transition. In a new twist on the familiar format, two C-Realm listeners join KMO on the line to help put questions to the guest..."

"KMO concludes his C-Realm conference call with Charles Eisenstein, author of The Ascent of Humanity: Civilization and the Human Sense of Self. Are exponential advances in technology providing diminishing returns? What new economic system might follow the demise of our currently over-built and tottering ediface? Charles Eisenstein explains what he means when he says that we are facing "a revolution in human beingness."

I received an email from host Ken Eakins of The Sitting Now podcast suggesting their show, and it definitely looks worth checking into. Recent podcasts have included a Robert Anton Wilson tribute, Douglas Rushkoff, and Voodoo...

Podcast Alembic reader Tsukina sent an email recommending the guided meditations of David Less: "I've noticed is that so much of the web is good head food, but I've found some really great audio heart-food lately...I've tried for years to meditate and had troubles keeping momentum, and having the downloads and the support of a field of about 1000 other meditators (even if I can't join them simultaneously, I know meditation is outside space/time anyway) has been an awesome kickstart."

Tsukina also point us to Talk Shoe (a web system that KMO used this week too) and the specific collection of "Winter Feast for the Soul" podcasts:

I've featured Shrink Rap Radio's excellent podcasts before. "Dean Radin, PhD, is Senior Scientist at the Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS) and has served as president of the American Parapsychological Association four times. A little over a year ago, he gave a presentation at Google, which can be found on YouTube, and it has become the most discussed talk of the 1,031 talks given there, as of this writing. His first career as a concert violinist..."

Shrink Rap is great, that

Shrink Rap is great, that particular interview didn't pique my interest, but since you mentioned it I'm gonna check it out. Global Public Media has a running list of podcast episodes from a variety of peak oil and sustainability shows, for anyone into that stuff here. Also the Transition Town Initiative has sort of gotten their own thing going as well, but it's a little shaky for right now, they're being hosted through something called Traydio. . .
