I have been hoping to find more female voices in the podcast world. Lo and behold I heard from Jose about Future Primitive - Gaialogues with Joanna Harcourt-Smith. I will include it regulary from here forward.
I listened to a few more Tree Hugger Radio podcasts and found them consistently interesting with very well-conducted interviews.
It's worthwhile to check out Shamanic Freedom Radio - with a title like that, 'nuff said.
I also heard news of a podcasting convention: podcastersacrossborders.com - "If you’re a podcaster — or a podcaster-to-be who is in need of a nudge — Kingston, Ontario is the place to be the weekend of June 19-21, 2009." ~ on Twitter
FEATURED IN THIS EDITION:
Here's the most recent "Gaialogue" on Future Primitive:
"Moughenda Mikala is a tenth generation nganga of the Missoko Bwiti sect from southern Gabon. At the Awakening in the Dream house in Mexico, Moughenda offers Bwiti iboga root healing and initiation. Bwiti, originating among the forest Pygmies, is a traditional African spiritual practice whose essence is ancestor worship and direct connection to God. The initiations relate to the five aspects of Missoko Bwiti: Ngonde (bwiti of visions and diagnostics), Mioba (bwiti of healing with plants and herbs), Bosuka (bwiti of knowledge of creation), Mabundi (bwiti of women), and Senguedia (bwiti of protection)."
Listen to this interesting interview here [MP3]
Shamanic Freedom Radio is only 14 episodes old and already has interviews and lectures by Rupert Sheldrake and Jacque Fresco and Neil Kramer.
I'll highlight the Sheldrake lecture here and list more in the next installment.
"Opaquelens takes his microphone to Goldsmiths College, SouthEast London to record a lecture by Rupert Sheldrake, promoting the revised edition of his book A New Science Of Life."
