Plucking HAARP Strings

Theories are disseminating across the Internet about the recent devastating earthquake in Haiti and it's potential veiled causation by United States' HAARP instrumentation. Conspiracy theorists are plucking the strings all over the globe, including Venezuelan leader Hugo Chavez, raising questions about the tangled threads woven around HAARP.

HAARP stands for the High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program.  The HAARP fact sheet describes it as, " is an ionospheric research facility jointly funded by the US Air Force, the US Navy, the University of Alaska, and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA)  According to internet theorists, HAARP tests "super-powerful radiowave-beaming technology that lifts areas of the ionosphere by focusing a beam and heating those areas. Electromagnetic waves then bounce back onto earth and penetrate everything -- living and dead."

Military reports have indicated that HAARP has the capabilities of altering and controlling the weather on a scale of weapons of mass destruction, along with the potentiality of reading and manipulating minds. But what are the connections between the earthquake in Haiti, and the HAARP mechanism? One of the speculations thus far is that through the workings of HAARP an aurora borealis type of formation is created in the sky, the same formations seen shortly before the earthquake in Haiti as well as the earthquake that struck in China in 2008 that has surrounded further HAARP scrutiny.
