Planets In The Fields

Kal Cobalt

Avebury Manor's spectacular new crop formation is easily deciphered as our solar system -- but it's the details that are keeping formation interpreters busy.

The planetary positions, as well as that of Pluto, seem to depict a date in December of 2012 somewhere between the 21st and 24th. The exact date is a matter of some debate -- as is the exact date of the end of the Mayan calendar during the same timeframe.

Also of note is the depiction of the innermost planets as "small" and the outermost planets as "large" -- an unusually specific piece of artistic license (or not-yet-understood message).

Unless I am misunderstanding the picture entirely, the alignments in the crop dont resemble anything close to where they will be proximate to 12.21.12: Mercury, Venus-Sagittarius; Earth-Capricorn; Moon- Leo; Mars-Capricorn; Jupiter-Gemini; Saturn-Scorpio; Uranus-Aires; Neptune-Pisces; Pluto-Capricorn Thus, in the crop pic the concentric circle on the ring presumably for Earth/Moon should have their own separate rings spread by ~150 degrees (nearly half a zodiac) between Leo and Capricorn). The only placement that corresponds is between the inner most two rings/planets which are Mercury and Venus in Sagitarius. But then the third and final inner ring, a fifth, (Earth/Moon and Mars) should not be so far apart as they are in the pic, because Earth in Capricorn and Mars in Sagittarius are at most 30 degrees a part in the zodiac and not the seeming 120 degrees. Hmm, while admitting this as a geocentric perspective, I don't see how a heliocentric perspective makes the crop valid either. Help if you have resolution : )

Interpretation appears correct to me

I did a quick search online for the position of the planets on December 21, 2012 and the crop circle appears to indicate the correct position of the planets relative to the sun on that date.

To search for yourself go to: http://www.fourmilab.ch/cgi-bin/Solar

and enter 2012-12-21.

Be well.

yes it's close enough

Once again, the report on Earthfiles.com titled Astronomical Data in July 2008 U. K. Crop Formations? shows convincing graphic representation of planet alignment on that date. Scroll down to crop circle of July 15, subscription not required.

I like to imagine distant alien intelligences psychically communicating with the humans who go out at night and stomp down on the grass/wheat of fields and create crazy intricate meta-design-spiritual-scientific whatevers and putting the very idea into their minds that they thought was a funny prank. Time and space is very serious business.. be afraid.

I can't take the 2012 subculture thing seriously. Yeah, yeah.. I know there is actual science behind it. But think of it this way: if one of our cheapo calendars were found thousands of years in the future by post-humans who forgot where they came from and do their post human thing.. Would they think that Dec 31 leads into Jan 1 or would they think it leads into.. THE UNKNOWN!!!

i like the cheapo calender

but the other systems we are talking bout here, the Mayan one for instance was not printed on tree pulp, that could have been printed on hemp, it was carved in stone after some attention spans of 26 thousand year cycles. The 2012 subculture, may seem like a lot of hoopola, depending on how you look at it, if you just see the surface and the bells and whistles that has been spun off of this.Like everything that has been coming from the counterculture, it becomes marginalized by the media, then it is pounced upon by the glitz that surrounds something so almost impossible to wrap yourself around the time cycles and the cycles within cycles, that don't translate too well into Hollywood or sound bites, so it becomes another "New Age" extravaganza in e"The End of the World As We Know it, and i'm feeling fine".Where ever you come into this, it's a good bet we will miss the Jesus Barn by light years.Unless we have been experiencing our own shifts and shake ups that jar something inside our perceptions and we sense some rhythm with the earth and the stars

Pluto but not Eris?

those aliens are bunch of antidiscordian rascists and I hope they taste like lobster...
Picture of Richard Merrick

Eris is just as important as Pluto

And, while larger than Pluto, it is the twelfth sphere balancing out the solar system. Why was it not included? It actually does complete the quasi-logarithmic spacing of the planets.

Mhm

Yep, darn geocentric vestiges go me on the wrong track. I see it now. Wow. Wow. Wow ; )

Something missing?

Here is a link to a scan of an image that seems to show that there is another massive body inside the orbit of Mercury, which we might call "Vulcan":

It is an Acrobat Reader file, and has explanatory notes associated.
