Party of The People at Last

In an unprecedented move, the Democratic National Committe has announced that it will no longer accept Washington lobbyist donations. "Our presumptive nominee has pledged not to take donations from Washington lobbyists and from today going forward the DNC makes that pledge as well," said Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean. It's unclear whether this is a reversible position or if it will become a defining tenant of the Democratic Party. As of yet there has been little mention of the policy change in popular media. This may indicate that the DNC is awaiting a strategic opportunity to notify the press. It could also signal that the policy can be easily reversed after the resolution of Barack Obama's campaign.
