If this proposed event is true, would there be any correlation between this 'october surprise' and the other 'october surprise' which would possibly cause the current administration to enact on the presidential directives it's been instating?

I know myself and many others have discussed the very real possibility of the upcoming election not happening, and I'm curious to see if anyone else has considered extraterrestrial contact as reason for this.

McKenna suggested that cognitive uncertainty is the closest the mind can get to an open state of being. In this light, I welcome reports like Blossom Goodchild's re: 10-14-08 as benign possibilities that I cannot pretend to know one way or another as to whether it will occur, or, if it does, how to interpret the precise nature of.

That said, I can also say that within the past month, I had a clear dream of precisely this kind of event occuring. In the dream, I am standing outside on a fall afternoon, walking by a Safeway grocery store a few blocks away from my childhood home. I look up into the sky and see appear a "UFO". But in this dream, I know that this is more than just a UFO; I immediately recognize this to be an unprecedented arrival of a benign extra-terrestrial presence on Earth. With this recognition, I feel a bolt of excitement at my core, and practically shake with ecstatic excitement at the prospect that the kind of help humanity needs most right now is finally arriving.

The moment the "UFO" appears in my dream, several military jets zoom in out of nowhere and try to attack it. I proceed to run into the city center to meet with others about this amazing event. To my surprise, I find that there are a wide range of responses among people, from complete apathy to folks who share my own level interest. I find myself hanging out with those folks who resonate with my being open to this UFO showing at the Seattle Center. We are outside together, standing under a small awning in the afternoon rain. The moment is marked by a sense of waiting and anticipation, knowing together there would be a short time period between the appearance of the UFO, and humanity's opportunity to directly meet with the beings inside it. In my mind's eye in the dream, I saw these beings as beings of light, here to assist humanity at this moment in time. I felt them to be tall and strong, and utterly benign.

Sheldon, it should be mentioned, has been associated with a "failed prophecy" from 1996, and linked by some with the tragedy of Heaven's Gate at that time. To me, Sheldon appears to be an extremely humble and clear-spoken individual whose 1996 prediction could have been the result of any number of factors at the time. Regardless, I think he is an example of someone who remains tenaciously committed to his own unique vision of our planetary process, and his messages at this time seem at least worth considering in light of the present:

Still, even in light of my own very potent dream and the many supportive voices out there suggesting this will be a very positive and real event, I like to remain open and uncertain, as I really do feel that uncertainty is the closest I can come to what it means to actually, actively being open to the unknown, the new, and the truly real.

i dont have any definitive opinion about the future, but i thought i would pass on some possibilities: the u.s. gov't seems to have the technology to create a holographic image of a ship, as well as spread euphoric or ill vibrations, and even false chanelled messages. hoaxing an alien invasion could help them implement a one-world government ("we need to band together to fight off these aliens"), which would be particularly convenient, given the economic collapse. i think there are so tricky beings out there, and they are good at presenting themselves as saintly helpers.....be careful folks, the devil don't wear a red suit. but also, i don't want to be overly paranoid. i guess everything is on the table!! this could also be truly beneficial ET's pre-emptive showing before a potential hoax dupes the populace into submission!! its a narrow path, indeed.

Paranoia may be the beginning of an uncommon clarity based on an unswerving commitment to our gut sense of felt truth -- that which can't be swayed by false appearances or messages of any kind. In this light, I wonder if I can trust in my sense of the "biological signature" of things like crop circles, and, who knows, giant light-ships from the skies above. I think the 'nets are definitely chock full of disinfo, including with respect to this peculiar 10-14-08 date.

Could the wolf come in sheep's clothing? I.e., might this be a set-up for some kind of false scenario sponsored by folks who don't have humanity's best interests at heart? Sure, possibly. But this is where I find sources like Matthew Ward -- who I particularly like because of the semi-cheesy appearance of his website as created by his surviving mother :) -- to be personally useful.

Matthew feels to me at a gut level to be the genuine article among the entire lot of channeled messengers on the 'nets today. His delivery is always uniquely clear and to the point, devoid of a lot of the mamby-pamby soap-bubble delivery style that characterized a lot of New Age charlatans from the '80's. And Matthew has repeatedly suggested that this time, the 10-14-08 light ship is the real thing.

That said, I don't take Matthew's word as gospel, just a useful pointer to possible truths in these tricky, dangerous times. IF and when we do see a 2-3 mile wide light ship hover over the Earth for all to see for 3 days straight (the 2000 mile number is apparently disinfo, intentional or otherwise), I'll rely on my gut more than ever for its felt interpretation of the signature of said ship.

I am a channel too- what is a "professional" channel? Someone who gets paid to channel? Certainly not by the aliens! Anyway... I talked to the GF too and here is my version. You humans are going to get NOWHERE if you don't realize the basic difference between benevolent and malevolent aliens. Really- do YOU want to be stuck here in this Earthly hell forever? Oct. 14th, 2008, The Federation of Light- a branch of the Galactic Federation- is flying an approximately 2000 foot long mothership of enlightened extraterrestrials over the Southern United States to prove to Earth humans that aliens are real. The mothership will first appear in Arkansas and then fly across the southern states as far as Texas. The ship will be visible in air for a total of three 24-hour Earth days. The media will be sure to say that the Federation of Light is invading, but is misinformation as usual. The U.S.A. signed an alliance with the Orion Empire which consists of Draconians, the small greys’ of Zeta Reticuli found in numerous publically documented photos along with the taller Grays- one of whom was photographed getting into a government car. Google (gmail included), is now partnered with the CIA, and recently censored the gray alien with government picture. A woman who sent out videotaped documents of how she earned her sovereignty in the U.S. had her gmail account with business documents cancelled without any notice. Internet censorship is now the governmental and public norm in China as well. U.S. tax dollars are actually being used to fund China’s Red Army. China is also part of the New World Order.

Human beings are sick and tired of being manipulated and controlled by corrupt politicians and corporations, and need to invite the assistance of our enlightened alien cousins who are trying to prove their existence to us so that we will ask for their help in the battle underway for Earth. They are the only beings powerful enough to intervene with the New World Order by the request of human beings. This essentially means that just over 50% of the world’s population need to invite the Galactic Federation to intervene on behalf of humanity’s sovereignty if Earth humans are to escape the mental, spiritual, and monetary slavery of the New World Order which now has access to mind control weaponry that the police are presently being trained to use. Fabrice, if you chuckle at occult topics, why are you on this site? I would like to feel comfortable expressing my wildest mental landscapes in a supportive environment. Can we create that type of environment? As far as Joan's channeling/research offering, I appreciate your confidence. I often waiver between an attraction to the type of heroic singularity of mind and purpose that you represent and the apparent (although uncomfortable) wisdom of "cognitive uncertainty" quoted from McKenna above. Both appear to be useful and valuable patterns. In terms of the whole battle for the world and mental/physical/cultural liberation- I would like to suggest a healthy dose of unity consciousness and integration of the shadow. Perhaps it is our dualistic minds->culture that is collapsing here, and our collective unconscious is surfacing in the form of said event -as a symbol of hope, opening and growth- amid the significant psychic risks involved in exposing ourselves to the apparent dangers posed by our collective shadow? How are all these archetypal tendencies playing out on the stage of our collective eyelids? Do we really need the help of our well-meaning Galactic friends? Maybe, but maybe we need to do this ourselves to prove our own capabilities to ourselves. I agree we need to have discretion about the intention of ET's and that includes not taking this literally and at face value. We are interpreting all this through heavily colored linguistic/emotional/biological lenses, so communication can get confusing. I dunno, I think its all on the table. Thank you, you Fearless Wonder, for breaking the door down and letting in some fresh air for those of us with perhaps slightly more conservative leanings online. And, in response to your candor, I'll share a bit more of my own dreamtime experiences this past year to complement your hot meal served on a fresh razor: 

This time last year I dreampt I was standing outside looking up at a sky full of clouds, feeling an uptick of existential angst in my poor psyche. Upon which, I saw materialize millions of benign E.T. ships out of nowhere, blanketing the sky for as far as the eye could see. I was very happy to see them in this dream. Whereupon, I saw a felt a giant beam of violet love-light converge from many of the ships upon my heart. When this violet beam touched my heart, I was emptied into a sublime swoon of unspeakable love.

(Brief personal aside and intro: I had no idea what to make of that dream. Unlike you, Joan of Art, I have not interfaced consciously with our benign E.T. friends. No, my extra-curricular resume consists of decades of slugging it out with nondual guru's and teachers, until finally consenting to go it alone and walk the most ordinary path possible in this whacked-out world. It appears, however, that my 15 years of sadhana did prep me for a walkabout along the edge of the nonordinary, just in time for the main event we are co-currently witnessing as we speak :)

So, about six months ago I then had a barnstormer triptych dream that seared my core, as follows:

Part 1 -- I am sitting in my step-grandmother's living room with two high-ranking officials from the Illuminati. One of them is speaking in what I recognize to be "Illuminati-eze" (namely, a high-abstracted, superior, evasive kind of triple-speak), and, in my soul's innate naivite, I can't help but ask the guy if he's a member of the Illuminati. He level's a stare at me that communicates in the affirmative, along with the obvious side-communication that my knowing this marks me for life. The conversation then shifts to his pal, another well-dressed suite sitting to my right, who proceeds to offer a monologue that has something to do with how the time has come and this is the last straw, yadda yadda, and growing more haughty and visibly enranged as he speaks. He finishes his diatribe for nobody in particular off by pulling out 3 silver symbols from his lapel, and throwing them forcibly at my step-grandma's closed curtain. As the 3rd symbol lands, poof, the curtain goes up in smoke.

Dream 2 of 3: I am now standing in a mansion where there is being hosted a giant Illuminati party straight out of Eyes Wide Shut, with super-rich power-naughts dressed up in crazy costumes, complete with a Christmas Tree in the middle of the room adorned with a doll of Hitler hanging from a noose.

Dream 3 of 3: I am now sitting at a long table in the basement of the same mansion, where a secret party is being held. Some orator is addressing everyone in the room, before suddenly everyone locks arms and an electromagnetic current sweeps through the room, zapping through the joined arms with an ugly demonic frequency. I chant the name of Brahma and ascend from the gathering into the light of peace. [end of dream triptych]

Point of my sharing all this personal material is that only now, at this moment in time, do I have the means to hold that ugly triptych alongside the dreams involving benign E.T. encounters in a consolidated light of intuitive understanding. Echoing yodelheck's excellent suggestion, here is where it is up to me to use my own intuitive vision -- grounded in fertile uncertainty -- to bring light and shadow together in a multidimensional interpretation beyond any single meme, and invite the Angel of Novelty to alight at the crux of maximum tension in this act.

For me, it has become clear that my dreams above are gifts to help me understand the near future as we are now living it. Since having them, our economy has taken a nose-dive, and the Illuminati are quickly developing a mainstream recognition beyond fringe meme-spew. Too many whistleblowers from across the board are spilling the beans for me to deny that this ugly contingent exists, is real, and is currently really working against humanity's best interests. I do think we do well to pay attention to these folks and to your pithy, potent message Joan, and do our best to understand our situation from a cosmically taboo perspective, as the times are clearly calling us beyond our conventional daydreaming malaise.

of a series of rituals called the Rites of Eleusis i had an experience that was half dream half waking were upon i have aways though of as seeing the inside of a Mothership.I'm trying to juxtapose the inside with the outside.In what we can visualize as what a great object perhaps hundreds of miles long would appear like..In what i saw that night was a vast interior of energy spheres and levels that stretched as far as the imagination in all infinite directions, it reminds me of the screen of raining glyphs in the movie Matrix except it was multidimensional with a bit of a space craft vibe.I never had the same sense of that Mothership interior but i have had tastes of it. It seems that my human form cannot sustain this kind of visionary experience except through the poetry i write.And have written.

Regarding those fugly reps: here's another dream from me from a few years back....

Dream:  I am in a museum of Earth's History, looking at the Collapsed Tower of Technology, which I then proceed to climb up (it appears like the Tower of Babel, but from the future). At the top, I'm in a room where my meditation teacher is sitting before a rectangular blue pool, chanting the name of the Goddess Kali. His wife and a couple of students sit in a row beside him doing the same. Behind me, my heart-awakened ex-girlfriend shouts my name. I turn around and see her kneeling down and pointing at a blue pool behind me. Immediately I draw a long sword from my side and slam it into the pool before standing back. I watch the handle light up with a rapid holographic display of a history of demonic interference on Earth. Hundreds, then thousands of forms of demonic influence appear in rverse-chron order, each precisely etched and identified, flipping back, and back in time, hundreds, thousands, millions of years back...until at last, there appears the final, primary Archonic form: a coal-black, reptilian-skinned grinning T-Rex-like form, staring at me with a smile full of hundreds of razored teeth, utterly menacing and totally destructive -- and clearly, innately intelligent. I am in shock and stand back. My meditation teacher is standing to my right, and simply asks, "What do you see?"

When one is visited by dreams like these, yours and mine, we know in our guts that we have something to do here, something very real, and not exactly ordinary. Till now, I've kept very quiet here at RS, and in general online. But: with the October 14th prediction (or whenever the hell this forecast occurs), I've felt my gut open to sharing this level of vision with others so inclined.

Quick confession: this morning when I opened up this thread and saw 2 posts by "Sirius Baby", my fear kicked up, and I scanned them too quickly to take them in, concluding that they were the harshest forms of mocking. Only tonight was I moved to come back and read them again, only to find that you were being completely sincere. That's fear for you, eh? Fear of being seen in the completely wrong way in this treacherous world here at the fringed emergent edge of the Truly New.

Two of the most POWERFUL alien/evolution dreams I had involved T-Rexes. Now they're a little lengthy to get into....but I think I know why this dinosaur theme is coming to light. Oh boy...here we go...so....modern humanity is related to the Annunaki- the Annunaki are literally our genetic mothers, while the Sirians are considered are genetic fathers (why the gender is partioned out this way I have no idea except maybe that the Annunaki got to Homo Erectus before the Sirians and so they are considered humanity's mother since mama comes first).

Have you heard the Sumerian creation story? Sumer, which is the oldest human civilization, had advanced knowledge of astrology owing to their contact with the Annunaki who they considered to be Space Gods. This much has been surmised through the translation of ancient Sumerian tablets. Now I know this is going to fly in this face of most peoples' beliefs here, but I gotta speak the truth. The Annunaki performed some genetic experiments with dinosaurs and mixed their DNA with dinosaur DNA to surmise the reptilians that are so often spoken of in conspiracy literature. Others refer to them as the Draconians, though the Pleiadians have advised the term "lizzie" to try to take the charge off the fear. So essentially- reptilians and modern man are two creations of the Annunaki- meaning- we're actually related!

Reptilians-lizzies-draconians-dinosaurs- whatever, variations on a theme. Humanity has been genetically manipulated and they don't even realize it! The Annunaki wanted servants to toil the Earth for them after the Ibigi (the lesser gods) revolted and refused to continue to work for the Annunaki. I believe this is why man seems so comfortable with being enslaved in systems not of his own choosing. Also why man has to work so hard just to survive- as if it were programmed into him from the very beginning to toil toil toil to survive when life is the most natural thing ever!

It is my own sense that as "fringe consciousness" now emerges into the mainstream with an unstoppable flow like that of fresh lava, that one of the most powerful acts of healing and empowerment we have at our disposal is to enact forms of lateral dialogue like this that allow us to really begin talking through the essential anxiety driving current events.

Although I have reviewed Sumerian history and pondered humanity's possible deep genetic origin, to-date I have not concluded that this is the case for simple lack of evidence. Here is where I resolve to remain true to the principle of cognitive uncertainty, and recognize it as an empowering opening gesturing into the New.

Upon reading your RS bio, however, I feel that you are speaking and living from a place of coherent self-remembered recognition of the terrain of which you speak, and sense that you have shuttled through portal's of deep recovery in this regard that would make the mind on its own simply weep. For the sake of dialogue and its empowering potential, I want to ask you where in your visionary travels to date did you reach your conclusion that this genetic history involving Annunaki and Sirian handiwork is factually self-evident? At what point did this simply smack of the truth? 

I have no trouble at all entertaining this as an idea. But only very recently have I begun to actively wonder if this possible story might indeed be actually true -- first upon David Wilcock's latest audio interview at Project Camelot (David Wilcock, who claims to be the reincarnation of Edgar Cayce, as I'm sure you're aware), who mentions several times in passing the Annunaki's active presence in human affairs, and citing Sitchin as his source; and now here, by your bad Self.

I think it would be a most potent piece to explicate, this alighting of your moment of truth in regards to this story, where it transformed from possibility into actuality for you. Because this is where the work now seems to lie, I think -- in rendering conscious and explicable what has lain dormant. I don't just want to swap stories with you here, JofA: I wish to use this moment in time -- one that seems to me to be nothing less than Earth's own palpable emergence from the Birth Canal of Being into Her true cosmic glory -- as a chance to spark the Angel of Vision in clearest terms.

Because once we begin to bridge the gap -- together and in a publicly sharable way -- between possibility and actuality in regards to these darkest of unknowns, I sense that our very DNA might reverbate with the feeling of truth lighting itself on fire.

This article has a pretty straightforward title, offering information about large numbers of people reporting dreams before 9/11 about people jumping from burning skyscrapers and the like. It also points to a recent occurrence of dreams that may be taken as an indicator of another dramatic event.  I believe it states that said event should occur within 60 days of September 12, 2008.

Half Past Human
This article is about using programs to mine data, in massive amounts, from the internet as a whole, considering the internet as an expression of collective consciousness, and thus eluding to the possibility of foresight or premonition. If I grasp the article correctly, it proposes that there will be an increase in general emotional intensity and expressive language starting October 7, 2008. This day is 28 days into the above stated 60 day span for a dramatic event.

This article, stating an October 14, 2008 revelation of the Sirian alien race is well within the 60 day span mentioned.

Discontinuing Democracy
This article talks about a recent change to the emergency protocol of the US government. I can only imagine this change is a reflection of some grotesque totalitarian military prison, considering it was made by the GOP.

Brigade Homland Tours Start October First
As of the beginning of this month, combat-broken troops have been stationed locally.

I'm sure many of you that read this are aware of the fact that the military was well prepared for 9/11, by being wholly out of the way and involved in 'war games' a good distance from New York, despite information indicating an attack may be immanent. What you take that to mean is up to you, but there is certainly an opening to see the possibility of a parallel.

In short, if there is a lengthened flying saucer appearance, Sirians or not, I don't expect it will mean favorable things for the US Government.  Not that I'm as concerned much with the organization staying in tact as I am with it getting more grotesquely out of hand.

So, allowing 14 years for naturalization and minimum residency requirements...Sirian President in 2024!

I've seen a UFO or two, so when I first heard about this I thought "it's about time". But then I saw it was a channeled message from someone I never heard of.

Why Channel? Why not broadcast a radio or TV signal letting us know when to expect you, ET? Why use unreliable (but real) psychic communication?

I'll tell you why I think. It's because the ETs aren't biological aliens from another planet. They are psychic entities from the "collective unconscious" for lack of a better term. They are the Muses, the Gods, the Fairy Folk, the Angels, and the Demons. They are the spirits of Shamans, Alchemists, Druids. They are archetypes of the collective unconscious. Etc.

They are a part of us, we are a part of them. They need our collective belief in order to manifest...thus they aren't All-Powerful. They need a living mythology to cloak themselves in...to give them form. The modern UFO mythology is their only global choice. New mythologies must encompass the old.

And we need them.

Psychic phenomena is notoriously elusive. It's subject to psychological, physiological, and environmental variables that we don't understand. It stands to reason that all psychic manifestations are subject to them as well.

Therefore it comes as no surprise to me that the "October Surprise" is a bit late. Rest assured sooner or later it will happen...hopefully before a global crisis forces a collective near-death experience upon Mankind.
