Cosmic Reservoir

Astronomers have discovered a mass of water floating in space 12 billion light years from Earth.  The amount of water in this cosmic reservoir is enough to to fill all of the oceans of Earth 100 trillion times over.  The discovery is delighting scientist for a variety of reasons.  It’s further proof that water is prevalent in space, and is also a big success for the recently developed Z-Spec spectrometer, which is sure to help astronomers uncover even more tantalizing deep space discoveries.
