Remembering Atlantis
Interesting... I have some strange connection in my life to Atlantis.... I seem to have memories of past lives in Atlantis, particularly memories of engaging in group magic rituals based around utilizing collective psychic energy and vocal sound vibrations focused and amplified through very large crystals, in order to affect reality. I'm still trying to figure out exactly what all this means, but I don't believe that Atlantis is a metaphor for mushrooms or anything else. In our post-modern American society which is mostly devoid of any significant mythology, Atlantis has come to symbolize a lost paradise that sort of exists as a future utopia as well as in the past. However, while these are valid metaphors in some sense, I believe, based on what I've read and my own experiences, that Atlantis was in fact real. Researching Atlantis you might find that the story of Atlantis is a pre-Christian, pre-Garden of Eden creation story involving extra-terrestrial gods, and the origins of human life on this planet.
I think the best guess as to where it was located on the earth is to the east of Florida and the Carribean sea, near the Bermuda island, in the ATLANTIC ocean. This is based partially on Plato's account, and partially on geological data about the sea floor. I read an author who proposed this location, and then I was very interested to find that in pretty much the same area of the Atlantic ocean, is where the "Bermuda triangle" is located. This is an area where many anamolous phenomenon occur, including UFO sightings, magnetic fields that cause technology to malfunction, disappearing ships, and a lot more. Wikipedia states that 1,700 ships and airplanes are on record as having disappeared in the Bermuda triangle. These strange occurances have been mostly unexplained, but if you consider that perhaps a technologically advanced lost civilization lies under the ocean there, including very large crystals which have their own electro-magnetic fields.... those disappearances and technological malfunctions may make more sense.

Hi, Thanks for your comments and opinion. I'm glad you've voiced them. Just wanted to point you in an interesting direction....and make a statement. Yes...Atlantis very likely had a physical node of it's being in the area known as the "Bermuda Triangle"...and the evidence of extremely strong/strange EM patterns in this location do serve to point to this. I agree. One thing to also consider is that these EM patterns are both held as well as continue to flow through this physical locus from out of the dimension of Time...literally. There is an infinite amount of EM energy stored in Time. And all it takes to pull any particular expression of EM energy out of Time is some form of focusing. Likely, the remnants of the focusing tools used in Atlantis are still buried beneath the sea, and these continue to act....not as a generators of EM, but as devices which pull longitudinal or scalar EM waves from out of the dimension of Time.
Please read anything by Thomas Bearden or simply google "scalar waves"....you may find it fascinating and it may help enable a few crucial "ah hahs!!"

as far as the above comment attacking jake's work goes, i do sense an unhealthy helping of cartesian anxiety and rational empiricism there... typical reaction to the mystic and to carl jung if you're in the ivory tower or hell-bent on making your paradigms acceptable to the scientific mainstream.
i don't understand why the resonance between metaphor and reality doesn't deserve our attention. the universe is trying to tell us something, to call our attention to some important synchs.

sorry...I was aiming for it to be a healthy helping, sincerely...as the message stands, inclusive of a useful "pressing" of the point. it really is important to, at times, be swift with a sword...and not get mired in the energy of Debate...which the media deliberately throws at us as constant quicksand and a tool for the meltdown of our hearts and minds. I believe you understand this...There is a point at which the usefulness of entertaining things falls off into - I'll just say it - a technique of mind/emotion control, via a stagnation of mind within debate...and I believe that the intention and work done on this site aims to be alot sharper and useful at a time when real evolutionary steps are at hand, out of the quicksand
To continue...most certainly, the resonance between metaphor and reality is deserving of our attention - specifically, as beings who access and put to work imagination as a tool of their own evolution - but don't you feel it's important to, first, understand that this resonance, interplay, co-creation, etc...is taking place because there is an encoding and language that the two phenomenon (metaphoric and empirical) share on a higher dimensional level (such as the "Akashic")?...for example, such as what takes place in the work of Masaru Emoto, where the water "reads" a text message...(talk about a resonance between the metaphoric and empirical!), rather than a resonance occuring as the result of a Cartesian or linear flow from one of these phenomenon to the other? When two energies connect or make love, in any way, a third energy starts to operate the hologram of that connection...The resonance occurs because there is an en-folded or hidden higher level consciousness and energy, I feel...and an operator/modulator or geometry that is causing the two poles to oscillate...Another example, on a 2 oscillator synthesizer, the guy on the knobs would be the hidden higher level operator.
What I was doing was seeking to illuminate the higher level operator or modulator of the phenemenon, in the case of the metaphor/reality connection between Atlantis/DNA/Mushrooms...Jake was siting a rigorous causality that only took into account a horizontal connection between the phenomena, firstly, and, to my mind, a misguided one as well. What about the higher energy...which inheres on a level that is perhaps closer to what the Universe is trying to tell us?? What about the vertical connection? A good example of this operator on a higher level might be Daniel Pinchbeck's experience of Iboga as a being....a "spiritual" being...but also, definitely an energetic being....and not just a 3rd density plant form. Because his experience directly connected him with what the plant form actually WAS (according to his experience, and many members of the tribe), in a spiritual and, therefore, higher density, he knew and witnessed himelf has being modulated or operated on from there. Perhaps this is much closer to where the Universe is actually speaking from and might help us to focus our perception as well as the utility of OUR metaphors (and they are ours) that swim along with the empirical reality which we co-create along with the Universe in a way which is closer to it... How does this feel to you?
On the reality of Atlantis
I must agree with you, Tristan, only because of the research I've done to investigate and some of the amazing work that's out there. Michael Tsarion's work posits that the Druids/Irish were the survivors of Atlantis, and that they worked in different areas after the catastrophe to rebuild, which is why we have Megalithic sites in the States for one.
Not only does he claim that the Irish Origins of Civilization are overlooked, they are masked time and time again by those who don't want us to know of our true origins....I think the link there, what is being concealed, is this Pharmacratic Inquisition. Christianity in a non-dogmatic sense, with its symbols and metaphors, is completely about the psychedelic and spiritual experience, right?
There have also been some amazing discoveries below Cuba, including not only a lost city but also super-old artifacts that continue to push back the clock. Add to this the discovery of (now sunken in) land bridges that connected the continents pre-catastrophe, and we've got a whole different world to imagine.
So, I suppose I would suggest that Atlantis is both real and imagined, has existed and will exist. Aquarius/Atlantis, anyone?

The vertical connection is certainly what we are after, but I think that the synchromystic work helps folks to see that there is a greater pattern behind elements of popular culture and mundane media.
In seeing these horizontal connections, most people respond by searching for a conspiracy to explain it on the vertical level, and eventually decide that this conspiracy would be too vast...this intelligence operating on the material level. Sure, some of the synchs are a "leap", but if you get into more of his work, esp. the stuff about the Twin Pillarmids, I think they're just to obvious to ignore. What I am getting at here is that there is a vertical connection to be discovered, and I think that this higher intelligence is trying to show us some things, and that work like Jake's is onto it.
Also, below this higher intelligence, or perhaps alongside it, undoubtedly there are modern-day sorcerers casting spells on the public from Holy-wood (the wood used to make the magic wand, lol) and elsewhere, and I do think we need this type of work to decode and understand how these function. Harkening to the vertical connection, I think that crop circles, in their increasing complexity, can be interpreted on a personal and collective level and used to decode some of this stuff as well.
This discussion could surely continue, I must say it's been illuminating even if it ends here. See, a little "clash" hasn't hurt us one bit.

Twin Pillars
It seems to me that all of the twin pilllar imagery referenced in the films derives from attempts by Jewish mystics, and later by renaissance Christian humanists to articulate and affirm a non-dual vision of life and death. As I recall, the philosopher Marsilio Ficino was instructed by his patron Lorenzo de Medici to translate the gnostic Corpus Hermeticum before the works of Plato, which gives us some idea of the importance placed on this kind of project at that time.
It's generally argued that the universe is organised around two principles, a judgment that maintains form and a love or mercy that seeks to flow - the god and goddess, who in harmony together produce duration, consciousness and this middle earth we know and love.
From these basic ideas, much of freemasonry, renaissance alchemy, and occult neoplatonism is derived. Blake was saturated in it, as was Yeats. Shakespeare seems also to have much more than a passing aquaintance with such ideas. Tarot, of course, fits itself neatly onto the kabbalistic tree of life, which is perhaps the finest symbol of this way of thinking.
There's evidence that Blake had slight aquaintance with hallucinogenic potions, mushrooms perhaps - and perhaps there is a buried thread of mushroom illumination in history (the secret teaching shared with mature initiates in gnostic christianity seems to have been something of the sort).

Glad to hear Shirley is doing well. My wife used to look after her kids when she was filming.
A lot of people blame Socrates/Plato for the separation of mind and body that has allowed the development of our marvellous technological civilization, because of the postulation of some universal abstract absolute Good. But the hermetic occultists were actually just as much involved - people like Paracelsus, John Dee, Giordano Bruno etc had a great deal to do with laying the foundations of secular scientific investigation into the nature of well, nature. The christian magi and alchemical scientists of the renaissance were part of the reformation, and the rejection of the sole authority of the Catholic church in all things. Truly the beginning of the modern world. Now priests and bishops are largely ignored in Europe (rightly so) and science and reason are our guides.
When the scientific method was formed however, the subjective results of the investigations of ParaC, Dee Bruno et al, were disallowed, and objectivity became the order of the day. Recently of course we are begining to recognise the separation into subject and object is an illusion, and one that is holding us back from deeeper understanding. Hence the return of Kabbalah, alchemy all that stuff. No sign of Madonnas career yet though.
Regarding the twin pillars mushroom stargate - perhaps this in itself is just a metaphor for the coming of what Aurobindo called the supramental cosciousness. A telepathic community of being that exists in timeless and spaceless harmony with the origin, consciously aware of multi-dimensionality, and able to shift, bodily, between them at will. The dove descending breaks the air...

Yes, the Elector Palatinate, Frederick V of Bohemia, aka The Winter King, circa 1620ish, who ran his court on alchemical principles, and whose palace gardens were full of magical wonders. I used to dream about that place. Dee spent time in Bohemia in the 1580s and it may be that he was planting the necessary seeds that would become the Rosicrucian movement. Certainly Fredericks court was an intensely religious, mystical, hermetic palce, rippling with manifestoes, mechanical golems, trances, dreams, potions, chymic laboratories, apparitions, controversies and wild apocalyptic hopes. A bit like Reality Sandwich. Frederick was called the Winter King because he and his heretical court, were quickly dissolved by the Catholics alas. Behind the whole thing however stands shrewd Dr. Dee, whose Monas Heiroglyphica was the fountain that wateres those rosicrucian seeds...
