Beyond Movie Dome

For those headed to Uncle Uncanny's Music and Arts Festival in Utah, you can check out screenings of 2012: Time for Change, Wake Up, and Vine of the Soul at Evolver SLC's Movie Dome (August 12-14).
Join us Friday and Saturday night:
2012: Time for Change presents an optimistic alternative to apocalyptic doom and gloom. Directed by Emmy Award nominee João Amorim, the film follows journalist Daniel Pinchbeck, author of the bestselling 2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl, on a quest for a new paradigm that integrates the archaic wisdom of tribal cultures with the scientific method. As conscious agents of evolution, we can redesign post-industrial society on ecological principles to make a world that works for all.
Wake Up: Jonas Elrod was leading an ordinary life until he woke up one day to a totally new reality. He suddenly could see and hear angels, demons, auras and ghosts.
The documentary WAKE UP follows this fascinating story of an average guy who inexplicably developed the ability to access other dimensions. Physicians gave him a clean bill of health and were unable to provide an explanation. What was it? Why was it happening to him? One thing was certain for this 36-year old man - life as he had known it would never be the same.
Vine of the Soul: Encounters with Ayahuasca: Can a sacred plant from the Amazon heal our minds and spirits? For centuries, indigenous people of South America have used ayahuasca, a psychoactive plant medicine, to cure all manner of psycho-spiritual ills.
Today, thousands of Westerners, seeking healing and spiritual awakening, attend ayahuasca ceremonies around the world to drink the vision-inducing tea and experience dramatic transformations in their lives.
Vine Of The Soul: Encounters With Ayahuasca is a documentary that explores this brave new world, offering insights into the nature of faith, mystical experience and self- healing through a heightened state of consciousness.
Show times are at 8pm, 10pm and Midnight Friday & Saturday.
