MAPS Media

April 15-18 2010, MAPS (Multidisciplinary Association For Psychedelic Studies) held an international conference in San Jose, California discussing research on ayahuasca, ibogaine, LSD, MDMA, psilocybin, and salvia divinorum. It was the largest conference dedicated solely to psychedelics in the U.S. in 17 years.
Earlier in the month RS reported on an article posted in the New York Times that shed positive light on psychedelic use in academic and therapeutic circles. The following is a partial list of media coverage of the MAPS conference--another sign of the growing awareness to the beneficial properties of psychedelics on mind and body:
- Could ecstasy ease PTSD symptoms?
- Pilot studies demonstrate effectiveness of MDMA for post-traumatic stress disorder.
- Can the Peace Drug Help Clean Up the War Mess?
- Psychedelic confab closes in No Cal
