Mapping the Horizons
On September 25th, Twilight, a benefit party for MAPS will illuminate Sullivan Hall in NYC with live music, art, dancing, and updates on psychedelic research. A spectacular line-up of live and electronic artists such as Roots of Creation, Biodeiesel, Sophistafunk, Beam & Deem, ZXL, and DJ Morale is being paired with visual offerings from cutting edge painters and digital artists. The tickets are on a sliding scale of different levels, and everyone is encouraged to pay what they can and know they are contributing to “securing the future of psychedelic research and science-based education with respect to these substances.” Every ticket purchased comes with a one-year membership to MAPS (or renewal for current members), and a subscription to the MAPS Bulletin, a tri-yearly update on psychedelic news, research, culture, and events.
This event also features an auction of psychedelic memorabilia, original and limited visionary artworks, signed Albert Hoffmann collector’s items, and custom jewelry and clothing.
The event follows the Horizons: Perspectives on Psychedelics Conference and is located just down the street. “Benefactor” tickets are available for people desiring to support MAPS on a deeper level, and holders will meet Rick Doblin, Ph.D, Julie Holland, M.D. and other MAPS staff for an intimate evening of dinner, drinks, and conversation before going to Sullivan Hall for the party.
Ticket levels:
$25 “The Student” – Reserved for students, artists and work trade volunteers.
$50 “The Basic Attendee” – General admission ticket
$75 “The Patron” – Brings fundraising to the next level.
