Shamanic Hip-Hop
LXOR's music immediately evokes the feeling of sitting in healing circles amongst a number of indigineous cultures simultaneously. But this circle is built from the cipher inherent within hip-hop. In other words, LXOR's songs cut right to the chase and provide the listener a glimpse of the essential rhythms found beneath powerful music.
LXOR skillfully balances dope lyrics with beautiful melodies and an ill cadence to create a sound all his own. No one sounds like LXOR and LXOR sounds like no one but himself. Sup brutha, sorry about the delay in response. I've been on tour since July 1st and haven't had many opportunities to get to the net.
Also too man, it seems hard once the articles go off the main page to respond to the comments.
Anyway man, yeah, LXOR is a good friend of mine. We were in a rap group together when both of us were living in Hawaii called Lowest Common Denominator.
Since that time we live on opposite coasts. He's in Oregon and I'm back in NY where I grew up. I think LX is down to build with anyone who is interested in buildin. I consider him to be in touch with some great wisdom, as you can hear in his music.
Supreme Elemental Kings is a project me and LXOR are slowly working on.
So if ya wanna talk homie, I'm right here.
Briefly the concept behind SEK is that of putting music to many of the stuff we talk about here on RS.
The Mayan Calendar, Ancient Technologies, etc.
Like I said, we are on opposite coasts, and both of us tend to work better when we are actually in the same room than through the web, so this project might take a little while. But I know it will be worth it.
Again, I super psyched you are feeling the music. I think LXOR is very talented, and he deserves the attention.
Both of us still work our day jobs, still don't make a lot of money, still don't have health insurance, and still paying major dues, but we're both still chopping wood and still carrying water.
