I cannot begin to explain the impact his teachings from "Power of Now" and "A New Earth" have had on my life. I've gotten several family members and friends hip to his teachings. Last Fall, I spent a few months in Japan for the first time working all over the country. I felt like a cloud was over me the entire time and I wasn't able to enjoy the beauties of Japan. I had already been dealing with depression but I thought I'd feel better once I was home since my identity was wrapped in my children, my husband, my life back in New York, but instead that cloud stayed once I got back. I would constantly beat myself up for any mistake and felt paralyzed by the voices in head. A strong desire started to rise in me to just be awake. At the time I didn't know what that meant other than I knew I just wanted to see clearly, visually and spiritually. I was talking with a dear friend (she was going through a difficult breakup but was healing so beautifully) and she mentioned how his teachings changed her life and encouraged healing in so many areas of her life. I ordered "The Power of Now" online that night. I couldn't even wait for it to come so I went to the library. Once I started reading the book, it's like a light shined on me. I had that "aha" moment. I work everyday to be present-open to life around me and the Being in me. It's changed my relationship with my husband-I used to be so offended by the littlest things. It changed my relationship with my children and it opened up doors of opportunity in my career I believe because I was alive, awake, aware instead of judging every action I made. My husband were both unemployed for some time this summer and all our funds dried up. We honestly didn't know where the next meal would come from. That book helped my husband and I to get through it. Everyday I would say "this too shall pass" and each time it gave me strength. I learned to be still in the midst of chaos. Those days seem so long ago now. My husband and I are starting a business and as fear and doubt rise within me, I am reminded of Mr. Tolle's readings and I've been able to acknowledge the fear and doubt, sometimes laugh at the thoughts in my head and be still. And that's helped us to keep moving forward. I really could go on and on. What a blessing this man is to mankind.

I'd love for the opportunity to be in the presence of Mr. Tolle. I was weary of him at first, as I am with most "mainstream" spiritual teachers, but after listening to the Power of Now and New Earth audiobooks I saw that his message spoke for itself. His words memorized me and I was struck by the love which just resonated out of them. I'm reminded of the Buddha's Flower Sermon which demonstrates the power of being in the presence of an awakened one. It is great RS can provide that opportunity.

I discovered Tolle's work 2 years ago when I had read other books about Buddhism, The Secret, Louise Hay and many more - one led to another and then I came across The Power Of Now and it blew me away. It simply was the right language for me and I had the feeling it went right through to my soul so I kept rereading it until discovering A New Earth which had the same effect. Then, as life threw me around a little, and after moving continents, I ended up having both books locked away in storage which I just remembered recently when I thought, I would love to read in The Power Of Now and get back into the "accepting and just being without demanding or expecting anything" mode... and as it will - I look into my emails today and find your newsletter with the link to an announcement of his talk here in NYC!
