Jose Arguelles Passes On

This morning Daniel Pinchbeck received a message from the Foundation for the Law of Time informing the Reality Sandwich community that Valum Votan/Jose Arguelles has passed away.

According to the Foundation for the Law of Time, Jose Arguelles "departed this Planet on Solar Moon 17 (March 23), Red Spectral Moon, at 6:10 a.m (the exact same time that he was born in 1939 in the Red Spectral Moon year)."

"After a short illness, he slipped away in complete peace. We are asking for those who loved him to hold a synchronized vigil and/or ceremony on his behalf at noon (Pacific standard time) on Solar Moon 19, Kin 91. Send him your prayers, light and blessings to continue his spirit journey - and also visualize the rainbow bridge and the Return of Light."

We are saddened to report his passing, but his influence and his message lives on through his teachings. Though this galactic guide is no longer with us on the material plane, his presence will continue to guide us through the turning of the cycle and leaves us with one final message: "EVERYTHING IS PERFECT!!!  Love everyone. Hate no one. God bless everyone."

We were asked to include a poem written by Jose Arguelles' twin brother Ivan Arguelles. This is Ivan's final poem to his brother which he asked to be read at all memorial servieces in honor of his brother Jose:

"Here is where we part,
yours is the section to the left numbered Zero,
mine has been carefully removed,
together we had searched,
together we came apart,
magnify not the dank spot,
tomorrow is a definite improbability,
hush, ponder, whiten this page over,
who is the deity of the step-ladder?
pray we must to his numen,
washed in grief the thumbnail,
the human portion in its inch,
look then to the Stars!"

What a sad day to loose such an inspired leader and teacher; a guide into the Galactic realms. There will be a big vacuum for a while without his physical presence.

He championed the galactic paradigm in its early stages of recovery. His books were monumental in their day; bold attempts to restore a higher planetary order. His leadership during the Harmonic Convergence 1987 cannot be overstated. His revisioning of the Mayan Long Count, perhaps unnecessary, was nevertheless a stepping stone for countless people to enter the wisdom traditions and search for Osiris among the ruines and archeological sites. A spiritual rainbow champion, well deserving of songs and honor forever, in the four cornered castle four times spun. Good bless the master on this day. Many warm receptions await him; great jubilations welcome him to paradise islands beyond the sun and moon. His memory is here to stay. Given the powerful role that LSD played in Arguelles' visions, it's especially poignant that The Bear and he both died in Australia within a short window of time. Those elders and their oral histories of the 60s and 70s are disappearing. Better collect those early stories of acid trips and inspirations while people are still around who remember them.

Jose: the Cosmic Force

It is surely a sad moment to loose such a powerful teacher in this physical realm. However, the moment of our sorrow should be fleeting. I believe, most literally, that the concentration of this man's essence is needed more at this moment in the cosmic/spiritual realm than on the material earth. Jose will be a guiding force into that great window of transition. His being will stretch wide to fill many voids of that movement toward 2012 and beyond.

The Bridge

Like everyone, I am saddened by the seeming "loss" of one of our Rocks of Gibralter, but with the perfection of timing due his exit, I know he is confident of the strength of our global heart and is now ready and needed to build the bridge from the other side. We will see our brother again, very soon in fact, walking across that bridge that connects us to our spiritual origin and Family of Light. Let us remember his most profound teaching; that the calendar is a program device and our present gregorian calendar is out-of-sync, off-kilter with the perfect cycles of the moon and cosmos and is the very basis of our disharmony, chaos and injustice. If we cannot switch to a 13 moon-28 day calendar, we must nevertheless integrate in our lives, as our ancient ancestors did, operating under several cyclical galactic patterns. This I know we can do. Must do. Honor the moon with all of your heart.When I look up at the clouds now, I see them in my mind, changing a spectrum of colors, a halo of brilliance that announces to our galactic travelers, "This is a planet of peace; come."Keep the earth in your heart, the rainbow, the promise to Jose and ourselves, alive in your own force field. Timing the passage of Don Jose Arguelles

Our Brother, Friend, Teacher and Guide, Don Jose Arguelles, has left us with a Timing Code. The day he left was exactly 7 annual quarters from December 21, 2012. That date is Seli 9 of the 6th Moon (Resonant Storm year, 2012-13) while the day he passed was Gamma 17 of the 9th Moon (Overtone Moon year 2010-11). With a year in between, this adds to 22, 28 day, moons plus 21 days (3 heptads) or 637 days (when one drops the Day(s) Out of Time and the leap day from 2012 which is to say if one follows the 13 moon-28 day calendar cycle). The 7 quarters consist of 91 (7 x 13) days each or 91 weeks/heptads !!!

Here in the 9th heptad (week) of the 9th Moon we are processing the meaning of People Together having just completed the heptad of Accomplished within the quarter of Discrimination which Holds the Radiance of Space. Here we must ourselves now discern the meaning of the Times. We have the model Don Jose has left us, now we shall find our own way, still guided by his very day of departure.

I was shocked and saddened to find out that your had left us at such a young age and know that you will continue your journey to guide us from your now broader non-physical perspective... I will always be grateful for our collaboration on "The Story of Time" you sent me so many years ago and know that in 'time' it will find it's right 'place' in the world so that it may guide all 'children of the Earth' into a time of peace, autonomy, equality and abundance for all... through your work, knowledge, dedication and understanding, 'we can carry Maya's wisdom in our hearts'... thank you Jose...

My finest years so far were those engaged with your teachings and your presence through first discovering your book “Transformative Vision”, which was and remains still, a template for understanding the grand scheme of the planet as two hemispheres of a brain and how art is the roadmap by which the earth’s intelligence expresses herself. Bringing you to Omega Institute in 1981 where you charged me to be a “node” for the creation of Harmonic Convergence, helping to explain your concepts in simple terms (good luck!). Honoring Nicholas Roerich through forming our separate chapters of Center for Peace Through Culture and co-hosting a conference on Roerich at Omega. Hosting your visit to the Farmbarns in Berkshires of Massachusetts. Accepting entry into the Union Graduate School under your advisorship.
